Tight game but a goal in the 2nd half got Fulham over the line.


B Team

Downs 6 - Fulham 1

Even 1st half with chances at both ends. Downs got 2 late in the half.

2nd half all Downs who showed there depth they have at the moment.

Poor 2nd half by Fulham who need to bounce back this week.


A team

Downs 3 - Fulham 0

Even 1st half but Downs took there chances well and 2 up at half time.

2nd half Downs on top with some great chances but were denied a few times by great keeping and poor finishing.

Got a 3rd and deserved the win.

Downs on a role and there money has definitely been well spent this year.

Tough day out for the grove and if that is the playing stocks they have for the season, it's going to be a long one. Docherty all class but really lacks a lot of support. And if they get injuries, only young lads that are able to step up and they are really still learning. At no point did they throw in the towl so plenty of respect there.

Tough day out for the grove and if that is the playing stocks they have for the season, it's going to be a long one. Docherty all class but really lacks a lot of support. The Grove will be fine, it's 5 games in and far from time to hit the panic button. Docherty has support around him and he is quality, you may be forgetting grove played two sharp teams today and that reflected on the scoreline. The kids coming through for the Grove will be interesting but im sure will be success'.

On another note, who ever the old guy in the blue jacket was that was loitering around should be ashamed, as should the Grove player sent off for the verbal spat they BOTH partook in mid-game. As a senior member of football and life in general the older guy should not be shouting abuse at players calling them names and what not -- It was charming hearing an old man call another grown man a "wank seed" in front of spectators and other players, some of the spectators were kids. Though, to be fair the Grove players response wasn't that nice either.

Tough league mate, not an easy game in it & makes it even harder to play at the level we want week in week.. The old cliche thou sign of a good team when they win not at there best...

Credt to Inter, Earls got himself a good squad & they will push teams all the way
