Yeah, I must admit I was happy when they went down and I found myself following them more in the Championship than in the Prem. Same thing happened last time. Premier league is almost as bad as the Champion league with ridiculous teams like Chelsea running around...

Yes, he must really be devastated at getting promoted to the EPL after a Wembley appearance.

I'm not his biggest fan, but he got us up. Next year, so long as he keeps us up, I'll be happy. Sure, we might not be playing the most attractive football, but we need a season or two of consolidation to get our finances in order.

There you have it, the reasons why my mate didn't want them to go up. How many games did you watch this season that has enabled you to make this decison on their performance?

Worried about consolidating on finances and how attractive the football is, bobby moore would be turning in his grave, he's probably the right way up now.

Blackpool were the far better side on the day but missed their chances.

West Ham took theirs so good luck to them next year.

They'll have to improve their game plan enormously or they'll be straight back down again.

Big Sam is a smart manager though and has always played within the capability of his players and finances wherever he's been and been reasonably successful.

I heard an interesting comment from an old mate who is still part of WH's coaching structure.

He believes that if they are not in reasonable mid-table position by Christmas the board will dump him and go after Ian Holloway (Blackpool's manager) who always tries to get his players to play the West Ham way.
The older I get the better I was.

Should have kept Zola.

What were they thinking....

Should have kept Zola.
Zola only insisted on one signing. Benedict McCarthy. He said to the owners, "If you let me sign McCarthy, I'll keep you in this division"

His only contribution was a penalty miss, and he had a higher Fat % than David Sullivan. He couldn't even get motivated to get fit to play for South Africa in 2010.

Does Ian Holloway think he's still big time and they have the "academy" and the "won the world cup" then. Does he run away when the going gets tough?

If so, he'll fit in nicely.
