Juve prepare '30th' Scudetto party...

Post by bapa »

By Football Italia staff

Juventus prepare for the Scudetto celebrations and have already challenged the authorities by placing a huge ‘30’ sign on the stadium entrance.

Technically the Bianconeri won their 28th title on Sunday, but the club continues to include the two stripped in the Calciopoli trial in 2006.

The FIGC have said it would be “an act of provocation” for Juve to put a third star on their shirts next season – as each star represents 10 Scudetti.

However, pictures emerged from Turin today showing a huge Scudetto symbol with three golden stars and the number 30 placed at the entrance to the Juventus Stadium.

It seems certain the celebrations planned for after the game with Atalanta on Sunday will focus heavily on it being their 30th title, regardless of what the history books actually say.

Defender Paolo De Ceglie also contributed to the party by driving in to the training camp today with a specially painted car boasting the colours of the Italian flag and three golden stars on the hood.

NEWS
Wednesday May 9 2012Moggi: 'Nail star to Moratti's head!'
By Football Italia staff

Luciano Moggi has a novel idea on where Juventus can put the third golden star. “I’d nail it to Massimo Moratti’s forehead.”

A row is erupting between Juve and the football authorities, as the club considers this to be their 30th Scudetto, counting the two that were stripped in the Calciopoli trial of 2006.

“Of course Juventus ought to put the third star on their jerseys,” said Moggi on Radio 24, referring to the tradition of a golden star depicting each 10 titles.

“If it were up to me, I’d nail it to Moratti’s forehead.”

Inter President Moratti insists the 2005-06 Scudetto stripped from Juventus and handed to the Nerazzurri was deserved, even with the emergence of fresh evidence.

Moggi was the director general at the time of the Calciopoli incidents and generally considered to be the main figure in the scandal.

“Of course I’m still in contact with President Andrea Agnelli and we spoke after the Scudetto. He learned how to be a director from me and Antonio Giraudo. We taught him well.”

Its funny how the latest FIGC inquiry found we should not of lost the titles but we can't get them back due to a 5 year statues rule.
30 is the number on all the clubs tops and on banners hanging on the stadium and club HQ, not to mention on my ankle.
Who cares what the knockers think, its 30 as far as Juve think and thats all Juventini care about.
You would feel the same in our shoes so people can say 28 all they like.
In one ear out the other FORZA JUVE.

an the facts of calciopoli are obviously not yours ...

Juve are factually correct in stating they won 30 scudetto's on the pitch.

Its also fact that two of those scudetti were subequently revoked by a former Inter board member, who then happened to be the head of the FIGC, none other than Santo Guido Rossi.

The fact that Juve chooses to recognise 30 scudetti won on the pitch is their prerogative.

Juve are not arguing that they have won 30 official scudetto's, but rather 30 'on the pitch, which like I said, is factually correct :D

If you knew anything about Calciopoli, you would know that the sole beneficiaries of Calciopoli, Inter Milan, were found (by a 70 page FIGC investigation) to be answerable to Article 1 - Sporting Fraud breaches 6 years after Juve and the other clubs were sentenced after a farcical two week trial, but were unable to be prosecuted due to the 5 year Statute of Limitations passing.

Why the evidence incriminating Inter only saw the light of day after the Statute of Limitations conveniently passed, is still yet to be answered, and forms the basis of Juve's ongoing fight for the same rules to be applied to all. Are we surprised that the evidence against Inter was hidden, when those wiretaps came from Telecom Italia, a company owned by Inter Vice President and part owner, Tronchetti Provera, who also happens to own Pirelli, Inter's major sponsor??

It would be refreshingly nice to have the same rule applied to all clubs :D

Yeah, but how many scudetti did Juve win in the medical rooms with their drips of heart medicine?

I don't expect it to cut you deep cause nobody that cares about being respected would support la Juve anyway.

In 20 years time, the history books will speak for themselves and people will recognise the 2012 scudetto as Juventus' 28th.

I'm glad you bring up the alledged doping scandal implicating Juventus.

The club itself was never found guilty of systemic doping, and the individual charged with doping offences, Dr Agricola was actually eventually acquitted by a court of law.

So to answer your question, how many scudetti did Juve 'win in the medical rooms with their drips of heart medicine', they won zero.

But perhaps you know more than the courts??? At any rate, your entitled to your opinion, but be sure to be correct on the facts.

We don't expect you to recognise the 30 scudetti ... Officially, we have won 28, that is beyond dispute ... we just recognise the 30 'won on the pitch'. We don't seek yours or anyone else's recognition for that.

P.S - Your club was screwed over by Calciopoli as well. The myths of Calciopoli still run strong it seems.

It seems some people have no scruples - they'll do anything to win and when they get caught out cheating complain that that they were unfairly treated.

If it was up to me, I would have banned them from ever playing in the professional leagues again.

Juventus are a corrupt club and got away with it on technicalities!

In what way did we get away with it? my main concern is the fact the investigation was lead by people with vested interests in Inter Milan and coincendently they were the only top team not implicated. So why is it that corruption is allowed when judging the penalties and implications of supposed corrupt teams? Also why weren't the punishments the same across the board? Bottom line is that due to an individual who has since been banned from the sport, Juve suffered, yes an employer has to be responsible for their employees but how much can a sporting director affect on the pitch?

Juve were found guilty of Article 6 breaches in 2006, which constitute sporting misdemeanours.

Juve, the club, were never charged, let alone convicted of match fixing in 2006, buy were sentenced by a former Inter board member as much. I challenge you to name ONE single game from 2004-2006 that the courts found were to have been criminally prejudiced by Juventus. I await an intelligent response or at the very least, no response which will imply you acknowledge your out of your depth on this subject.

The greatest irony, is whilst Juve were found guilty of Art 6 breaches - Sporting Misdemeanours, yet relegated, Inter were found answerable to the more most serious charges of Sporting Fraud, Art 1 breaches 6 years later by the FIGC, the same organisation who sentenced Juve to pergatory! Yet Inter walk on legal technicalities.

So if you were punished for a crime, but believed in your innocence, would you seek justice and speak out, or would you stay quiet as a mouse and take the punishment on the chin? I don't care that much anymore about the two scudetti revoked, without them we have still achieved alot more than others. My only concern as with most Juventini I'm sure is equality, are we not entitled to ask for it? Anyway if you don't have anything intelligent to say, it's okay I understand, I have a brother who's special...he's a napoli supporter.

You are entitled to speak out. No doubt.
But what you believe to be the truth is not what history has recorded as the truth.
Until it does Juve have won 28 & not 30.
Is that hard to understand?

Juve's Scudetto success is all the more impressive for how implausible it seemed last summer, according to Scott Fleming.

“They laughed in my face.”

He's known as one of football's great jokers - prone to hugging opposition strikers and pretending to strangle them - but when Gianluigi Buffon addressed the Milan contingent at an Italy training camp late last summer and told them Juventus would win the Scudetto, he was deadly serious.

It was a conviction the 'keeper had harboured since the grand opening of the Juventus Stadium. Lest we forget, League One's Notts County held Juventus to a draw that September night. So why was Buffon, or Nostradamus as he now prefers to be known, so convinced?

Those scoffing Milan players will feel sheepish now, but they certainly weren't the only ones to pour scorn on suggestions of a Juve title tilt last summer. La Vecchia Signora had appointed a new Coach and performed an expensive squad overhaul but big deal, they did that in 2009 and finished seventh. They did it in 2010, and finished seventh again.

And Conte's appointment was by no means a guaranteed success. Three miserable months at Atalanta constituted his only prior experience on a Serie A bench. The former Bianconeri midfielder was a popular choice with the fans – who had petitioned for his appointment long before it actually took place – and he certainly didn't lack passion. But, there were suspicions that that passion disguised a lack of nous, that he wasn't, to quote Lord Sugar, 'drop dead shrewd', that like his hair transplant, he was eye catching yet superficial, a short term fix.

Neither was Beppe Marotta's transfer campaign universally lauded. Picking up Andrea Pirlo on a free was a no brainer, but was he the player he once was, and would he fit into the 4-2-4 which every discussion of Conte's tactics was predicated upon? The likes of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Emanuele Giaccherini were solid pros but good enough to take Juve to the next level? And who in god’s name was Marcelo Estigarribia? Marotta himself seemed somewhat rueful after missing out on marquee signings Giuseppe Rossi and Sergio Aguero.

“I must admit it is not a simple task to lure top players when you are not in the Champions League,” said the former Sampdoria official. “I hope to sign the players we want – Conte will do the rest.”

Dig out your season 2011-12 previews and you'll find Juventus don't get a mention until halfway through most of them, after Milan and Inter, after Roma and Napoli even. The consensus was they'd do well to finish third and return to the Champions League.

Back then any old Scudetto win seemed implausible. Never mind the history making, record breaking one they're set to bring to a triumphant close on Sunday. Avoid defeat in Turin against Atalanta of all clubs, where Conte suffered the lowest point of his managerial career, and the Bianconeri will become the first team to survive a 38 game Serie A season unbeaten.

Sulley Muntari's infamous 'ghost goal' will inevitably go down in calcio folklore but what has been forgotten is the impressive nature of Juve's fightback that night at San Siro in February, the way they battled back to draw 1-1 after being comprehensively outplayed in the first half. In the big games, and on those rare occasions when the unbeaten record appeared to be at risk, Juventus had more quality, more tactical versatility, and more hunger. They also won the psychological battle. The more flustered and preoccupied with Juventus and perceived injustices Massimiliano Allegri became, the more Conte grinned and joked his way through press conferences.

Talent wise this isn't the greatest Scudetto winning side in the club's history but with big names reluctant to hitch their wagon to Juve's star - no three stars pun intended - Marotta improvised, and almost every one of his decisions has been vindicated. Even signing Marco Borriello, who after three months of abject displays slammed home arguably the most important goal of the entire season in Cesena.

This summer Marotta won't have to improvise, the big names won't be reluctant to come to Turin.

Buffon probably won't feel the need to reassert Juve's Scudetto credentials at Azzurri training camps. But if he does, no one will laugh.

No I don't know better than the courts. But we all know Italian institutions would never fall to corruption would they? Agricola should never have been allowed to practice again. And Juve came very close to losing more titles than were taken away in 2006.

Our "screwing over" in Calciopoli in the end consisted of us losing a place in the UEFA Cup and securing qualification to the next season's Champions League because Fiorentina got a bigger deduction. If that is being screwed over then hopefully they do it again.

Until it does Juve have won 28 & not 30.
Is that hard to understand?

Belief is a funny thing, it doesn't always have to be backed up by facts...you can label us delusional but I could say the same thing about Napoli fans who think that their club will return to the heights of the Maradona era...it might happen, it might not but that doesn't mean that every Nap supporter shouldn't hope that day will come. Just as I hope and believe that one day we'll be recognised as having 30 scudetti.

You will, after you win another two.

man italian football is such a headfuck. everyone arguing over what is just a history of cheating and lies and scandals. i feel bad for those who are deeply entrenched in it, it's the same with the greeks, everyone seems to know "it's all rigged" but they still can't help being emotionally attached... that's football innit.

That's what the AFL is for. To stop people from wanting to smack their head against a wall when it gets too much.

Thought it was pretty self-explanatory what I said, then again should have known that I'd have to spell it out for you two parrots.

I hope that our two revoked scudetti get re-instated. That about clear it up.

Ohh, I see now the Italian courts are corrupt. How convenient ...

An insult I might add to those Italian Magistrates murdered fighting corruption.

Please explain WITH FACTS how Juve came 'very close to losing more titles' and why Agricola should never have been allowed to practise again after being found innocent by the law??? Just facts please .....

It doesn't bother that you that Lazio were tainted and punished under Calciopoli, yet Inter who committed Article 1 breaches of Sporting Fraud were never brought to justice and carry a cardboard scudetto to boot??
