Swanny, is that your club referee? I thought it was a Strikers home game.

Yes, Strikers said the only referee they had was playing in the A's and asked if someone from our Club could do the second half (or shorten the game to 2 x 35 min halves ) Colin offered to do the whole game.Aldo Serena wrote:Swanny, is that your club referee? I thought it was a Strikers home game.

Yes Swanny, very appreciative that Colin was able to fill in for us on Sunday. You try and be organised at the club but when 2 of the 3 registered refs were late witdrawals on the day, it didnt help but as I said we were very thankful that Colin could assist. Please pass on our thanks again, I do believe our club offered to pay him for the day, not sure if he accepted though?swannsong wrote:Yes, Strikers said the only referee they had was playing in the A's and asked if someone from our Club could do the second half (or shorten the game to 2 x 35 min halves ) Colin offered to do the whole game.Aldo Serena wrote:Swanny, is that your club referee? Also it wouldn't be fair if no Mooney's could take a part in the day, we were glad the other one didn't

Our club referees pulled out on the morning of the game and the only possible replacement was a player who was required to play A's. The game would have been shortened to 2 x 40 min halves (acceptable under league rules) to give the player an extra 10 mins to prepare for the A's game. A big thankyou to the Southern Knights Club referee for stepping up and officiating for us.swannsong wrote:Yes, Strikers said the only referee they had was playing in the A's and asked if someone from our Club could do the second half (or shorten the game to 2 x 35 min halves ) Colin offered to do the whole game.Aldo Serena wrote:Swanny, is that your club referee? I think Colin's payment was in the form of a six-packA.V.N.M wrote:Yes Swanny, very appreciative that Colin was able to fill in for us on Sunday. I happen to know Colin was more than happy with the beers, and I also know I was more than happy to help him drink them on the trip home!
