Dempsey is consistent, and can play in the middle/up front if needed, he'd give Liverpool alot more options. I think he'd be a great signing. ( I wouldn't even mind him as a squad player at Chelsea, at least you know he'd turn up).

Spearing does look off the pace, but then again he is 3rd choice for that position. Still, the club should have been in the market in Jan (at least for a loan) for an anchor man when Lucas went down injured. Wouldn’t have minded seeing Coates there.
