Biggest UNFAIR outcome!!!!!!!

What a typical cliche - the BESt team on the day did not get the 3 points!!!!!!!!!!

I am referring to the weekend game AV Metro V Downs.
The AV boys completely outplayed the downs lads in both halfs.
We hit the crossbar about 2-3 times and hit the side posts at least half a dozen times.
I must admit that the best downs player had to be the keeper A Allen.
He shut down the villa boys on at least a half a dozen times, with great saves.
Downs, with all due respect did not look like even scoring in the game, albeit in the last 10 mins they had two shots on goal ALL GAME.
One they completely jagged and the other was ricochet into the keepers hands.
No disrespect to the downs lads, but I believe the team which dominated 95% of the game was unfairly robbed the deserving result.
The game was played in great fairness from both sides.
I just think that the gods were not smiling on the villa boys.
I also believe the downs lads and supporters believe that they were very lucky to get away with the win.

Just goes to show that the downs boys were VERY, VERY,VERY,VERY LUCKY.

u guys hit the bar twice i recall, as for hitting the post 6 times...well i must have been playing a different game.

u guys did have the better of the game, but we could easily have made it 2-0 near the end of the game...everyone has played in their fair share of games that don't seem to have a fair result...but hey thats football.

speaking to a few of your boys after the game they said that they had a bit of luck last year...maybe its not your turn this yr.

aim of the game is to put the ball into the back of the net. if you do it more often than the opposition you are the better team.
no use playing 'pretty' if you cant score.
no use creating chances if your forwards miss them.

ask yourself "what do we have to do differently to get the result we want?"

we definatley outplayed them, their own players admitted that after the game, but the aim of the game is to get it in the back of the net.

you could see it in the last 15 min that they were going to jag a goal

the team that scores the most goals win. not a hard concept to understand. downs scored 1 , villa scored nil. there for the downs derserved to win. now if the rules said that the team that wastes possesion the most wins the game, then villa would have definitely won. so get over it and worry about your next game

hey rumourhasit, if u read my text properly u will understand that I am not complaining and want the scored changed. I was just making an observation. I am stating that the downs (still a great side) were very very lucky on the day. Thats all.
