Fulham vs Vale
C's 5-1 (i think)
Fulham way too good. 1-1 early in the second half but Fulham finished with a flurry. Very deserved win for them today.
B's 2-1
Game of 2 halves. Fulham with the better of the exchanges in the first half. Vale couldnt keep the ball in the attacking half and our defense was under all sorts of pressure. 2-0 down at half time but came out firing in the second half. A penalty early in the 2nd half got us back in the game and we SHOULD HAVE scored at least 3 times after but wasted 3 or 4 1-on-1s and a couple of other good chances. Fulham had 10 men behind the ball for the final 15-20mins (with the exception of a couple of counter attacks) and held on well to take the points. A shout out to Rosco in goals for the Vale, pulling off a save that would have to go down as one of the best ever seen! absolute bullet like strike going top corner and Ross got up with a big left hand to tip it wide...
A's 2-2
neither team really looked like they were going to take the game by the horns in the first half. pretty average game to watch in long periods but it opened up heaps in the second half. Fulham scored 2minutes into the second half..... Vale scored not too long after, with a penalty. Vale were looking like taking control and were creating some half chances and looked the better side but Fulham broke and scored a neatly taken volley to go 2-1 up. Vale pushed again and wasted a number of chances, with Mark Burbridge causing havoc in the middle of the park and young Alex whipping in quality crosses. Vales pressure was rewarded with another penalty, given for a hand ball, which may have been a little tough on the defender. Daryl Maher stepped up to slot away his 2nd from the spot and tie it up at 2-2. Vale again pushed forward and will count them selves unlucky to not have scored again.
Story of the day for us at the Vale, couldnt finish off the hard work of the lads in the middle of the park in both ressies and first team. Im sure we all consider the As and Bs as points dropped after creating so many clear chances.

Spent all on Doyle and Orr and look how that's worked out so far.Željko Jurin wrote:We couldn't match the $$$$ he's getting now ...
I know for a fact one of those players is very close to the 700 dollar mark and Trimmers would get nothing near that.

Well you already pay him that much as an assistant coach! Mate just saying if he is banging them in and yes it is early days but if you guys can't score it makes sense to sign and play him.Željko Jurin wrote:We couldn't match the $$$$ he's getting now ...
Yeah there is a massive gap from amateurs to super league but I still think he could cut it. Brains and experiences goes a long way.
It's like zelko has said in our posts it depends where the club wants to go in the long term, trimmers would be a quick fix doesn't help out raiders long term
Food for thought

Some people tell me that we professional players are soccer slaves. Well, if this is slavery, give me a life sentence.
