However, I have an issue with taking photos with the intent of implicating the opposing players/supporters after your own team starts a fight. Where are the photos of the Stirling #16 punching/shoving the Sals Villa player? Where are the photos of how the Sals Villa got a cut on his head? etc...
I think that anyone will run into trouble trying to reasonably attribute motives to the cameraman, even if you were there. No-one has the right to prevent them from using this camera in a public place. What you're suggesting in your second paragraph there is conspiracy... which is pretty far-fetched.
Purely being the devil's advocate here. I actually dislike both teams.

lol
Exactly, as a photographer myself, you can take photos of what ever you want in the public domain. If that person was taking photos, no one has any right to tell him not to.
Tommy: We've lost Gorgeous George.
Brick Top: Well, where'd you lose him? He ain't a set of fucking car keys now, is he? And it ain't as if he's incon-fucking-spicuous now, is it?
Its happening to often now..... A bit of 'bite' and banter was always part of the game but this S**t where people take cowardly shots at other players, spectators and sometimes the ref, are reocuuring much too regular at the moment. The buck stops with the clubs and both Stirling and the Villa need to be proactive rather than waiting for the league to act.... You can't stop a Knob head from doing cowardly things on the pich once but you can damn sure stop him doing it twice with your club shirt on...
Intersting to see what transpires on this one as these are two higher profile clubs in the Saturday league..... and I agree, Stirling are no angels but for the Villa... S**t sticks unfortunatley...
Reading both views of Villa and Stirling players, its pretty clear what the League need to do.
The League used Bosna, who did have a recorded history of violent sorts as an example to deter any and all teams from that particular conduct, however the only thing (reading todays paper article about Bosna as well) is that they didn't say in particular what they were being kicked out for (the violence of a supporter or the players walking off).
BOTH sides were involved. Yes one club may have started it, but it takes two to tango. If one club was truly bigger than the other they would have walked away. These two will be dealt with by the League as they will want to either set an example with them, or continue on the one they made with Bosna.
I understand, as a player myself, the emotion of the game gets to you and no doubt everyone here has either seen, done or been the mediator when the heat of two players collide and teammates pull there man away. Hell, I saw once instance yesterday. It could've been a fight, but both our teams took the players away, the ref, rightfully booking both without hesitation.
As for the Ref, don't ever blame them. They make a decision based on the now and it ain't easy. If you really think the ref has something to answer for, walk a goddam mile in his shoes first. I for one can say, I couldn't and wouldn't want to do it under the current conditions in this league.
Sturt took the lead in the first half due to a 35 yard shot dipping into the top corner (GK could've done better) but OISC responded well in the second half. A dubious penalty levelled it at 1-1, but the draw was a fair result on the balance of play.
B's 0-0
Not a lot to talk about from this game. OISC had a number of good chances, hitting the woodwork twice.
A's 0-4
I think the result is a bit harsh on OISC. I had to leave a bit early, but OISC missed a golden chance in the first half, with a player rounding the GK and scuffing his shot, as well as hitting the woodwork. Sturt's goals were mainly due to defensive blunders which need to be ironed out.
As for Salisbury and Stirling, my $0.02. I wasn't there, can't comment on individual incidents. Violence should never be tolerated (even as a reaction. Be the bigger side and don't retaliate), and a person should not be confronted for taking photos. If serious things are going on, then photos/video can only help a club/the league in determining the sequence of events, and attributing punishments.
So what did you think of the "big boys" Cantona.7?[/quote]
Def step up from last year mate. I only played on the weekend as we had 2 guys away, 1 suspended and 2 injured.
The Comets were a good side, and will def be up there at the end of the year. Thanos will score a bucket load for them.
I'm glad I won't be playing anymore, to quick for me!! Looking forward to Div 3 Sundays starting next week!!

Saturday Division 1 Round 1 Results
Wanderers 1 v 3 BOSA (0-1)
OISC 0 v 4 Sturt Marion (0-0)
St Peters 4 v 0 Adel Villa (5-0)
Salisbury Villa 1 v 3 Stirling (2-1)
MA Hawks 4 v 1 Adel Uni (0-1)
Wow on this one.....Hawks definitely not mucking around this season....
Was the Ref ok with the strip????
I was driving along South Rd and I saw one team (not sure which one) wearing all black and both teams wearing black socks. The 3 match officials were all wearing yellow. Seems like common sense has prevailed.
Was glad that common sense prevailed and that the most important thing, the game, was the centre of attention.
