Though I read somewhere on the forum that there wasn't enough to make a team.
I do not know which makes a man more conservative—to know nothing but the present, or nothing but the past. - John Maynard Keynes
He was late a lot, up to half an hour and a lot of the time I have no idea how he was ranking players, they were not known to him and had no number shirts on apart from the last two sessions.
Disappointing if it can not be reinstated in the southern area as it is a long way to travel twice a week to The Parks.
south boys joined the north last night, should now be fairer if they just pick 2 squads rather than north/south. 80 kids trialling for north , 35 trialling for south. idon't think thats the ideal. you would have been dissappointed if you were player number 19 in the north as you would have probably walked into southern team .
Very hard on the southern boys who have been trialling for months and will now be up against the Northern boys who have had plenty of opportunities to impress the coach.
Very badly managed by the FFSA as parents only found out about Max being sacked from this website!
It has been a bit of a fiasco. I can't remember how many trials the lads have had/going to have, must be past 10 if you count the ones from this week.
Hollygirl, two of the guys looking at the lads were at the first two trials they had in the south. So they will have some records from then.
With it merging with the north, it is probably the best thing to be honest. As Robin pointed out, fairer if there were so many trialling in the north. So the squad will be as it should be, for the elite. They will all be getting the same level of coaching, no disrepct to Max, but I have heard good things about Elvis.
Only wish it was closer, another 50 minute drive across town at rush hour is not what i'm looking forward to though. Lol

Believe it or not North Zone only had 1 training session the week before christmas. It was more of a get together than a training session! Told to return Monday february 5th. Told because of the heat policy to ring FFSA if it was hot. Half the parents rang told no session. The other half got told to show up and have a talking to and a lite session. A little bit of a shamozle. The next session was Wednesday combined with the south. So the southern kids haven't really missed out on much!
