Wanderers V BOSA - better preparation with the pre-season cup and a strong side.
Iggies V Sturt - Sturt
Saints V ADEL VILLA - As much as it pains me, Saints have much more quality than Villa from what I have seen.
Sal Villa V Stirling - Tough to get a result up at Salisbury.
MA Hawks V Adel Uni - the only team we didn't beat in the league last year, we are aiming to remedy that this year.

Wanderers V BOSA - Expecting BOSA to be strong again this year, saw them in the pre-season cup semi and they were impressive despite losing.
Iggies V Sturt - Haven't heard a lot about Sturt but thyey were up there last year and im expecting Iggies to struggle this year
Saints V ADEL VILLA - Will be a tough game, could go either way really
Sal Villa V Stirling - Stirling were a good side last year, but I'm leaning towards Sal Villa at home
MA Hawks V Adel Uni - Hawks got the better of us at their ground last year, so hopefully we can get some revenge and get off to a good start

Wanderers V BOSA
Iggies V Sturt
Saints V Adelaide Villa - Draw
Salisbury Villa V Stirling
MA Hawks V Adelaide Uni

TBH it's all just guessing from me at this point. Both Saints and Villa start slow though so could be a draw.

So the villa folding rumours aren't true then. Heard they even had to pull out of a game this weekend due to no organisation and lack of numbers.

You can't be serious. Think you're getting your Villas mixed up buddy.
I know S Villa had some issues earlier on but I know that's been all sorted other than a lack of depth which they've always struggled with.
Only issue they would have is the game being played on a Sunday, intern being poor organisation on their behalf fuxxing the Farm around......I know Simmo would be pissed an so they should be.

Just for the record, Salisbury Villa have at no stage had any issues for this coming season. Our numbers are stronger than ever and our lack of depth should no longer be an issue. We look forward to another season and hosting you all at some point. Personally I'm tipping us to be very competitive across the board in the A, B and C divisions. Good luck to everyone for the upcoming season and to the Hawks and Adel Uni, welcome to Div 1!

Wanderers V BOSA - BOSA in a close one.
Iggies V Sturt - Sturt for me. I think Iggie's small ground could work against them.
Saints V Adelaide Villa - Saints definitely have a chance but Villa's experience might just nick it.
Salisbury Villa V Stirling - Villa by 2 or more.
MA Hawks V Adelaide Uni - Hawks, sentimental pick for my MA homies.

Heh I only said "rumour", I made no pretence of their being any truth in it.

That's fine mate, just clearing that up with you.

I was with the A Villa boys at TK Shutter on Saturday and everything's fine on a club front. They've lost a couple of quality players again that they just can't replace, one being Didier Faraone, absolute quality. When you've been at the top for so long there's only one place you can go so the pressure will be on to retain their status as the team to beat.

In regards to S Villa, i've got quite a few good mates there so i'm happy everything is going well. Watched them against San Marc a couple of weeks ago and they looked like being a competitive unit again this year.

Adelaide Wanderers V BOSA - Bert will have the Wanderers ready to go, 1-0 Wanderers
Old Ignatians V Sturt Marion - Could be Pete's last year if he doesn't win the league, Sturt need to start with a win! Iggies might be battling relegation this season...
St Peters V Adelaide Villa - Too strong at home and some qulaity signings. Villa may be in the relegation battle this year and Musci to jog on before season's end.
Salisbury Villa V Stirling - Stirling will start well and win this one in a canter
MA Hawks V Adelaide University - Dave Baker would want to show he has learnt his lessons from 2010 and could be the dark horse this season. Hawks will also be in the relegation at the business end of the season.

Did anyone run a tipping comp last year? Are they willing to do it again?

If not, I'll do it. Just post your round 1 tips here to get in.

Wanderers V BOSA - BOSA
Iggies V Sturt - Iggies
Saints V ADEL VILLA - Saints at home
Sal Villa V Stirling - hate to do this but with Al no longer coaching them, I'm not confident Stirling will be the same side. Villa to win at home.
MA Hawks V Adel Uni - taking a punt here as I know nothing about either team. Hawks at home.
