Ohhhh so your sponsor day being organised with the saasl is fine.. But us organising our easter is not... Get a life you hipocritical moron... Listen to your self you idiot... Are you sure its sponsor week? Or dole week?[/quote]

Absolutely... if we are organised to request it well before the fixtures come out. Gives the league time to do the fixtures and take our request into consideration. If they were to say no then that is fine, it's just a request.

On this occasion the league called me up in February and said they were happy to accommodate. Here's a novel idea mate, why don't you guys try the same thing about Orthodox Easter? I have no issue with you requesting it and if the league sees fit, to grant your request. Ya can't just get upset because someone on your committee wasn't as organised as others.

And dole week is the week after.... 8)

Beograd should just stop making all these impractical requests. Now, I heard, that they refuse to play on Friday nights. Why does the Federation allow one team to make so many requests? Who do they think they are?

What's the issue with this? We play in the Sunday amateur league.

As for the fixture changes, I still have not received any official notification from the league that they have changed. Also, if they are going to swap Round 1 and 4, surely they would also swap Round 10 and 13? The SAASL are setting a very dangerous precedent here.

I thought the fixtures sent out to Clubs a couple of weeks ago were only a draft?
Why have clubs gone off and made arrangements without final fixtures being released at the delegates meeting?
I cant see the League changing dates to suit Beograd for Easter, could they have been changed for another reason or request and coincidentally Florina ended up playing Beograd?

All this means is that in future the League wont put out a draft fixture for the Clubs to comment, so say goodbye to having any input next year!

 Jebo te Papa

Anyway, I have a question.

Since the SAASL website is down, is it possible to get an electronic version of the Sunday division 1 fixtures?

I might be asking a bit much seeing how it's 1 week away from commencing.

I think the point is that Bra and Westies didn't wait till 2 weeks before the season to make their fixtures requests. Also, if they weren't granted, they would make as much of a scene. Its is hard to accommodate everyone but reality is, there is no public holiday for the Orthodox Easter and there is for Christian Easter. Blaming the SAASL for putting on games that doesn't suit you is hardly a good reason for a rant against everyone else.

Your mate started the 'orthodox' thing in the first post ...

For those scheduled to play on Sunday it is also coincidently easter for greek, serbian, russian and coptic (i think) orthodox people.

There are teams where there are a predominant amount of Orthodox players playing, where we intend on spending the day with family to celebrate easter together.

Looking at the fixtures, if Florina doesnt play this week, they are also not playing next week (due to Bosna situation). Therefore, Florina wont be playing until the end of april.

i do sympathise with you guys over the Easter thing, but have you played during it in past seasons? this isnt the first time the two easters have not coincided.... it would be unfortunate that you may have to forfeit??? especially the first game of the season....

We have managed to organise with the other club in previous years to re-schedule.

Took 5 pages for someone to say it, or your players could just organize family dinner instead of lunch?
