You certainly hit the nail on the head. We all now that a single player is never bigger than the club. Same goes for Uni..... since when is a single club bigger than the game?God is an Englishman wrote:brutus01 wrote:I ask again, who is running this League?

Who is saying we are? We are probably a lot more vocal than others on this issue as it is a bit more of a sensitive issue for us.arsenalfan59 wrote:You certainly hit the nail on the head. This issue has been very badly handled by those that administer the game due to the fact that we start the comp next weekend and there is still so much confusion around it.

You might want to check your source Mr Hawkes. Apparently at the club reps meeting the President admitted that this had not been communicated effectively to the clubs.God is an Englishman wrote:BlackBrian_7 wrote:Who is saying we are? I am going by what I was told by our club rep that attended the meeting, if anyone on here knows differently due to their own attendance I will defer to them on this matter.God is an Englishman wrote:BlackBrian_7 wrote:You might want to check your source Mr Hawkes. As previously stated it has been admitted that it has been poorly communicated to the stakeholders. To have this issue so poorly managed and then expect total compliance is ludicrous even you would have to admit.
Anyway, apparently there is correspondence from the referees association that our main strip does not clash with the referees so that is all we need.
Re: Referee instructions yesterday
This was also stated by Craggs on Monday night.....Possibly their little concession to get their way in the end.BlackBrian_7 wrote:This year.God is an Englishman wrote:My source from saasra says very differently. saasl were told 3 years ago, and i believe you've stated before that your chairman is also on the saasl board.BlackBrian_7 wrote:I am going by what I was told by our club rep that attended the meeting, if anyone on here knows differently due to their own attendance I will defer to them on this matter.

How can a black shirt not clash with a black shirt with a white v on it?

Re: Referee instructions yesterday
Maybe the SAASL didn't advise the Clubs because they didn't endorse it but are now being held over a barrell by the Refs. Maybe?
Re: Referee instructions yesterday
So now we have gone to one shirt only. This is ridiculous. And if the purchase of a shirt was to place such a burden, surely the funds that are being used to recruit and develop referees could also be used.
When I used to referee games a few years ago, out standard uniform included the black shirt with a yellow shirt as alternative. There were almost never any issues however with playing kit at Parafirled Gardens, Elizabeth Vale and Pontian Eagles comprising of both colours, I had suggested to the SAASRA that a third shirt be offered to members who wanted to buy one. The then Secretary agreed and we both ordered a blue shirt from the supplier but we had to cancel it because some of the more mature members of the the association did not agree and were of the view that two alternatives were sufficient.
All this justifies my decision to pursue other interests - committee inflexibility and a general lack of application of Law 18, which is the most important Law and one that all officials should endeavour to apply first. The Law of Common Sense.

Re: Referee instructions yesterday
Rob, the SAASL have offered to supply the refs with the blue shirt. Thanks but no thanks, was the reply.
& everyone blames the players for driving refs out the game. Sounds like the refs don't do a bad job of it themselves.

Re: Referee instructions yesterday
Noticed this FFSA Referees directive....
![Image](http://farm1.staticflickr.com/29/97325327_b86521d7fd.jpg)
Most important of all....please note the following directive...Shin Guards
FFSA is aware of a directive that has been issued from a non-affiliated Referee Association in regards to shin guards and the specific requirements for this equipment.
For the purpose of clarifying this issue, the directive issued is incorrect as the Laws of the Game do not provide any specific requirements in regards to the size and use of shin guards except that:
Shin guards are
• covered entirely by the stockings
• are made of rubber, plastic or a similar suitable material;
• provide a reasonable degree of protection.
There is no specific requirement as to the length or size of the shin guards. Referees in FFSA Competitions will be enforcing the Law as it is intended and will not be applying any reference to the specific size of shin guards.
GPS Units & Heart Rate Monitors
A number of clubs have made enquiries in relation to players wearing GPS Units or devices that track player movement and other fitness data such as Heart Rate Monitors.
These devices are prohibited under the Laws of the Game as they do not form part of Player’s Equipment. If players are found to be wearing such devices, they will be directed to remove it by the Match Referee.
