All in all a great day and congrats to Beach on winning the West Beach Branch Bendigo Cup.

Beach supported the bar well today.

Although result disappointing experiments still happening but now it will be Round 1 and the first 11 on the park will have to perform.

Big thanks to the Gully supporters and players for coming in for a drink after the game. Fridges looked pretty bare when I closed up tonight.

Elizabeth Grove 0 MSSC Blue Eagles 1 (V.Condina 87') , Grove missing a number of first team players , whilst D Pellegrini and G Lagati playing for Blue Eagles ! I think there will be some cracking games in DIV 2 this season .

Blue Eagles are a class team so you don't really have to be making excuses...they'll compete very well in Div 2

Is that Scott or Steve Hughes scoring for the Downs? Scott Hughes is one of my favourite players to play in the Segunda Division, so to have him back home is terrific.

Farm V Bosna

Thanks to Bosna for filling in for the game this week. Was good to have a chat for a few players and officals. Most are very disappointed about what happened a few weeks ago and just want to move on and play. Hopefully they learn their fate this week.

A's 7-1
I think. Competitive first half from Bosna but ran out of legs in the second half. Missing a few players due to recent events but the guys that were there had a good 55 mins.

B's 6-1
Similar to the A's. Some very good players there but on a big pitch and a warm day, plus a few missing, they struggled.

Big thanks and well done to Leon from been the ref for all 3 games yesterday. As much as we don't want to lose him, he needs to become an offical ref as he handled the games better than most ref's running around today.

That's preseason nearly done. Two weeks and the season begins.

Sat 31/3

A's: USC Lion 2 - 1 ACU Falcons
B's: USC Lion 2 - 2 ACU Falcons

Bad finishing plagued both our sides but was still a good final pre-season hitout.

I think it is A, B & C's.

Will be an interesting game as we went up from Div 2 and Modbwee went down from Div 1 so it should give an indication of where we are at.

Ha Ha you Modbwee boys are a bit precious aren't you!!

Very happy to dish out the "banter" but don't take it too well.

All b*llsh*t aside it was a handy hit out for us, we took our foot off the pedal after being 4-1 up at half time as we already have enough injuries. Credit to the young Modbury team for getting back in the game at 4-4 but we managed to do enough to edge it 5-4.

You're number 9 is a very handy player and will be a class above in the second division.

Hats off to Hawkesy as well, he can talk some shit but your pitch is definitely the best I have played on in the amateur league for a long time.

Thanks I spend hours collecting all the shit I talk and using it as fertiliser, that's why it looks so good.

Not sure what you are talking about when it comes to not taking the banter so well. Don't remember any incidents in either game. I do remember it being a MJ playe who was first over to your bloke who did his knee, helped him off the pitch and our trainer who treated him while no one from Uni even appeared to give a shit. So we can't be that bad a bunch of blokes.

You are a shitstirrer, aren't you. I can say that's crap, as I was right there as soon as I could get the ice out from under another player who'd done his ankle. Disorganised doesn't mean we don't give a shit. We are so used to seeing that particular player bounce that a few of the lads thought there was nothing wrong with him.

Many thanks to your trainer for helping out though. I got a peek at his kit, gave us a few ideas. Very well prepped, and he obviously knows his stuff.

No, I don't mean any of that which happened on the day. It was fine there was nothing to speak of either on or off the pitch. Hospitality was great with someone from your club bringing a whole lot of beers into our change room after the game for the first team players (I wouldn't imagine that our guys spent that much to justify such a generous gesture).

More directed at Laney.

Heh i only said "appeared to". The fact that you said yourself you were dealing with someone elses ankle would back up that perception. If it was you that was the only uni person over there then you would also know that the lovely blokes from MJ were also offering to carry your player back to his club mates.

Anyway, played against him a few times and .I hope his injury isn't as bad as suspected
