I just personally don't like Modbury Jets. Their ground is nice, their BBQ is awesome, but for reasons I won't go into here, I don't want them to go up. (And no, they do not involve God is an Englishman in any way)

Adelaide Uni (Black)

Options as I see it:

1) Reinstate Lion to Division 2
2) One team up from Div 3, one team up from Div 4.

The way things are at the moment, Division 2 plays a 16 game season and Div 4 plays 22.

Surely the saasl cannot leave div 2 with only 9 teams ??? If that does happen,then they should play 3 rounds !

Div 2 has to have 10 teams. The season hasn't started so it's just a matter of some re organising fixture wise.
Also heard Lion were looking at merging with Africa, hoping to pick up enough quality players to be competitive in Div 2.
With their current squad they would get destroyed week in week out and it would be like a bye round anyway if they were asked to retain Div 2 status alone.

Also, Lion should stay where they are.. they have had a massive exodus of players this year, and are now in re- construction mode. The lower division the better for them this year. You dont want to be re-building in division 2.

SAASL has to definitely tighten their reigns. No more clubs FFS!!!! They should hold it where it is now, and get the surplus players to fill in positions at existing clubs that have a strong foundation... That is the only way the league will get stronger IMO. For God sake, where ever you live in metro Adelaide, there is a club with in 5 kms of you. No need for more, otherwise this sort of thing will happen year in, year out.

Can depend on the area, there are about 20 clubs ( of the top of my head ) within a 10-15km radius of Salisbury.

From a quick glance it would appear that if all games from round 1 to 14 (inclusive) were brought forward one week you would align the games to have triple headers for all home fixtures. I am sure that the league would have no problem as long as every team in that division agree to moving forward rounds 1 - 14.

So what came out of the meeting last night concerning our division?

Anything on 9 team comp??
Did we rectify the issue with div7c starting on the 14th of April insted of the 21st?? (presume it was an error on the leagues behalf)
