Another friday night game for croydon to bring players down.
Re: Round 2
adelaide city has the opportunity to drop players down aswell... whats the problem???
we should maybe worry more about development than worrying more about what other clubs are going to do or winning at all costs....
jeeee i must be the only idiot in here

name those who are and don't deserve to be in the squad.

Re: Round 2
really what is the problem, as long as the players are of age.
If anyone should have a problem, it should be the boys being dumped and their parents, for such tactics, not AC or any other club. Once again if done just proof it is about winning.
Alot of soap operas happen throughout the year, however the best seem to be on the same channel.

Re: Round 2
One win does not give you them the title. City had chances but could not find the back of the net. The way Croydon carried on afterwards was if they had won the world cup. Still 16 games to go, lets wait to the end of the season to see who comes out on top.

Re: Round 2
or lets not give a stuff about who finishes on top and see if they boys can make state, SASI or even their own clubs higher age groups. not to compare with other clubs, but so internally you can show you are heading in the right direction development wise.
Re: Round 2
If the coach for CK was the u14 coach from last season then playing and beating AC is a world cup win to him....superstar wrote:The way Croydon carried on afterwards was if they had won the world cup.
for the record.... another good game played out in u16's at the paddocks.
AC 5 - 0 P-hills. Good game, end to end to end but AC moved the ball about and kept possession well.
Both teams have under age players and they all played hard, smart and fair. Ref was pretty good too.
Perfect night for the good food, beer and coffee on offer. Good job Hills. Very enjoyable night.

SASI, State and even playing up in your own club is not a reflection on development of the player, of the game or an indicator of a clubs progress. The Kings Jesta wrote:or lets not give a stuff about who finishes on top and see if they boys can make state, SASI or even their own clubs higher age groups. not to compare with other clubs, but so internally you can show you are heading in the right direction development wise.
Both SASI (or what ever its called these days) and STATE are based on the coaches shopping list which unfortunately is often written by someone outside the community.
The curriculum clearly identifies skills and technique lacking in Australian football, yet for some reason most players in the representative squads are not selected on this, they are selected on the above mentioned shopping list.
Not having a dig...but if you were a selector would you-
a - go see every team in an age group to see the caliber on offer.
b - go see the winning teams players? Lets face it, if the team is winning something good is happening there isn't it?
c - go see the teams getting thumped week in week out in search of that elusive diamond in the rough that might be hiding in the squad that's being belted and not having the opportunity to express themselves properly on the park?
Its a hard question.
I see Croydon 16's lost this weekend?
Tired players from Fridays crucial win in the U15's?
Just joking......

Good choice, but refer to C for the Diamond scenario.SID wrote:A
