Correct, but you can still have a bad egg in a good bunch, but they're obviously not concerned with this.
Depends on definition of bad eggs.

There are plenty of clubs with bad eggs.

Just to add and clear up the scenario, there was some words exchanged between the ref and one of
the players from Macedonia, the ref then gave him a red card. Player was obviously upset, and had to be held back by his team mates, the ref then got upset and walked off. Beograd found another ref and the game continued and was played in good spirits between the two teams. Also the maso player that was red carded was allowed to continue playing after the "offical" ref walked off
Most decent refs will just tell the coach to sub a player in friendlies if they are getting a bit heated to calm them down..after all it's just a warm up...no need to send players off unless it gets totally out of hand

i believe this may have been the case with the brahma striker in the brahma raptors game sunday. Looked like the ref asked the coach to sub him after a couple of incidents
Somebody from Brahma can confirm

Yes your right mate, the ref asked us to take him off, very sensible move

Why so many excuses and but a good Ref should've done this and that.... At the end of the day Beograd and macedonia have shown a total lack of respect for referees and for the amateur league rules.... If a few guys get upset and don't like the refs decision let's just send him home and we can grab a spectator and finish the game..... REALLY ???

Are you a moron? Read the comments properly, the original ref was not an official saasl ref he was a club member who has a ref's license, he wanted to call the game off after 10 minutes over personal issues both teams wanted to play and didnt believe the situation was worth cancelling a game over, so the game was continued without any probelms...

If we as the beograd players had no problems with the maso boys and got along and had a good game besides that small incident, why should it concern any of you? After all it was a game organised between the two clubs nothing to do with the saasl.

And no one is making excuses we won 6-1 we do not need to make excuses, it was a friendly game hence why the red carded player was allowed back on, he wasnt making trouble with anyone else and was a nice bloke. It wasnt a league game, the result didnt matter the boys wanted to have a kick around.

You all come on here and moan about how the league is portrayed badly in the media, how everything is over exagaratted bla bla yet thats exactly what you are doing.. Dont you have anything better to do with your life...

And this crap about always the same clubs bla bla, let me tell you i have met some of the nicest guys in "these" clubs you portray as "bad eggs", yet half of the clubs you portray as the league heroes have players with big mouths and small man syndromes, but nobody brings it up..

Passout whats the matter cars not selling well these days? So you got nothing better to do then accuse clubs of making excuses.. If i remember correctly it was you making all the excuses last season when it looked like the knights may be relegated..

I played against Beograd many times and they had always been one of the most hospitable clubs and a great bunch of lads, so generalizing them as one of those clubs that have lack of respect for other players and officials IMO is inaccurate......Looking forward to the next trip to Frank Mitchell pk and especially to the Chevap burgers

Wow, the fun and games have started early this season....this club is this, this club is that, he said this and he said that

Sid, at no stage were any rules disrespected, please clarify to me if you wish so, which rule exactly you think Beograd did not respect?

Let me help you out here a little:
- the referee was in no danger
- the referee was as much to blame as the player
- ALL the players were stunned by the circus in a non-official trial game.

And I could go on...but what for, you have already passed judgement.

It's rather easy to post things about a club, tarnish their good work without knowing the facts, so please Sid, tell me - which rule did we not respect! (by the way I'm hoping you get your facts right).

Karmann Ghia wrote:Just to explain what happened here. After 15 mins. There was a little bit of heat in the tackles etc. The game was played competitively and this does happen. To cut a long story short, there was a verbal altercation between a couple of players and the ref, other players stepped in to calm the situation down. The ref got a little "sensitive" decided to call the game off. The president(s) stepped in (me being one) said to calm down and play nice... we resumed the game with a new ref and the game was played out. Very mountain made out of mole hills stuff. I must admit, I wouldnt have appreciated the verbal barrage. But you are going to get that after all it is Amateurs. It happens. We moved on and the game was played out without any further incidents.
Was the first ref an "official" ref? I take it that the second one wasnt??

Yes the first ref was an official ref. And the second one wasnt. Seriously who has tow official refs for a pre-season friendly. IMO self explanatory... you know the answer to your own question :D[/quote]

Earlier someone said it was an official ref now it wasn't ???

Maybe trial games should have refs organized through the saasl? Just a question. Also what would happen if there was a serious injury re insurance Etc etc again just a thought

We had a bigger incident last year against a team in a Preseason game and to their credit they didn't make an issue out of it

Oh no, the player had to be held back, while the referee was also held back (both actually seperated), but danger, danger a soccer riot is about to happen...someone call The Predator, while we get in the chopper

Predator, more action happens at trainings then what occurred on Sunday (absolute handbags), so when I tell you there was absolutely no danger to the referee please believe it, cause I'm sure I was there.

For the record, I personally find Beograd to be a pleasant bunch of lads, passionate, but pleasant.....apart from when they hammered Knights in the opening round of season 2011 !
But Knights bounced back and got an important 3 points in round 10

Good to see the forum trolls and flamers trolling and flaming so early this year.

I think sometimes its written for us to bite... and we can help ourselves but to take the bait with rediculous comments that are factually inaccurate, slanderous and pretty poor form.

I am sooo looking forward to this year!
