.....oh, I thought you were joking
how many times did he blow up for nothing fouls when play should have continued?
how many stupid yellow cards were issued?
surely common sense prevails in most circumstances but he loved whipping out that yellow bit of plastic........not to mention taking out the red one.......twice
he didn't let the game flow at all leading to a very frustrating experience

The ref had a great game, booking players for mouthing off, good on him! Maybe should have give Para a penalty when the keeper brought down the Para striker but other than that good game!
Thought the Para supporters mouthing off at him once the game had ended was laughable!

I think most of them thought that the ref was a bit biased in some of his decision making, namely forcing Para to play 30 minutes with 9 men on the pitch AND as you mentioned about the penalty decision.English Fish wrote:The ref had a great game, booking players for mouthing off, good on him! It wasn't a dirty match though which is why I and a few others struggle to see how Para copped around 6-7 yellow cards. Mind you, if the referee sets an early precedent that ANY bad words = yellow card then maybe you should know better to just shut your mouth and not say anything.
Sorry if I seem a bit harsh on the guy but this isn't the first time we've had him ref one of our games, and every time we've had him we seem to have players sent off for ridiculuous reasons and the rough end of the stick decisions wise.

. The straight red I think could have been given either way. It looked bad with two feet up, so in the letter of the law it was the right decision but as refs are human you get different ways of looking at it every time a challenge gets thrown in like that so some games it's a red other times it a yellow.

I will say this if the ref doesn't want back chat or any "bad word" such as "why is that not a penalty" or "what was that", instead of juming straight for the cards he could perhaps open his mouth and talk and make it clear that anymore chat will result in a card, then if he still gets chatted give a yellow. As for the red card if he had given the 4 free kicks just prior to the late tackle the lad would not have got sent off. The lad knew he tackled late and although it looked bad the comets player got straight up and got on with game, a yellow and a good talking to from the ref would have been a better solution, but hey hindsight is a wonderful thing.

any chance the SP page will be supplying results from yesterday? Would be interesting to see how everyone is doing under league status not trials.

Re: Juniors Rd 19 results
I dont think they listed Skilleroos scores or league position last season, I assume they may do the same this year.AL K HOLIC wrote:Željko Jurin wrote:http://www.sportingpulse.com/comp_info. ... 5-0&pool=1AL K HOLIC wrote:Any results for AC v Campbelltown 14A?

I think the AC vs Campbelltown U14A game has been postponed to be played tomorrow night
Don't know why though!!
And heard Para Hills beat Skilleroos something like 6 - 1
