Re: SAASL Pre-Season Cup
The round robin stage concludes at Kilburn this Friday with Saturday sides Uni Blacks and Saints squaring off in the early game while Sunday champions Gardens face Vista who won div 2.
Should be 2 cracking games and hopefully there is a big crowd down there.
Any predictions?
I can see Uni winnning 2-1 and vista of course

Re: SAASL Pre-Season Cup

As we well know Saints are our big rivals so anything could happen.tibbaw wrote:Uni by a couple and Gardens in a close one
If Gardens have Agius back they should account for Vista, however as seen against Para Hills East they struggle without him.

hardly think they struggle without him as they have many quality players....cant read to much into pre season formBlackBrian_7 wrote:As we well know Saints are our big rivals so anything could happen.tibbaw wrote:Uni by a couple and Gardens in a close one

True, one game taken out of context is misleading.lisbon lion wrote:hardly think they struggle without him as they have many quality players....cant read to much into pre season formBlackBrian_7 wrote:As we well know Saints are our big rivals so anything could happen.tibbaw wrote:Uni by a couple and Gardens in a close one

The game I saw Parafield play against Adelaide Villa, he was causing all sorts of problems with his long range shooting which really put Villa under the pump.

Re: SAASL Pre-Season Cup
From a neutral perspective, Vista's energy was too much for Parafield Gardens and their disorganised/shakey defence was exposed a lot by Vista. The African lad for Vista looked pretty good and dangerous, was surprised when they took him off.
In the Uni game, as I said anything can happen! 4-4, time to go back to the drawing board.

Vista have a game against the downs on Sunday so players were rested. Plenty of players to come back for both gardens and Vista. The season will tell a completely different story. Look forward to another game against the gardens.

Uni 4 (P.Decelis 2, M.Decelis 2) Saints 4 (Unsure of scorers). High intensity scrapy game, Uni did enough to get through to the semi's but disappointed to hit the lead with 4 mins to go only to concede a late equaliser. Well contested game and some good goals from both teams.
