"I don't believe Luis Suarez is racist". because Luis Suarez isn't racist, anyone who knew who he was before he was signed for Liverpool knows he isn't racist. People still aren't really understanding what happened are they! What Suarez said to Evra can be classed in South America as a friendly greeting, I don't think anyone ever disputed that. But what I think is obvious, and so did the FA hearing, is that he wasn't saying it to Evra in a friendly manner whatsoever, he knew full well that Evra would take offence to the racist aspect of the comment, otherwise why say it? He said it knowing how Evra would react but also knew that he would have an perfectly plausible explanation as to why he said it.

Did Evra overreact? Possibly, but I do believe that he genuinely thought he had bee racially abused. I also believe that Suarez knew exactly what he was saying and what sort of a reaction he would get. Does this make Suarez a racist? Probably not but it still doesn't make him innocent in this whole affair.

It's blown up out of all proportion with the handshake incident etc but I don't know how anyone can say that Suarez is innocent.

I needed to speak to someone at work the other day and I had it described to me what she looked like, where she sat etc.. Not once did they use the most prominent feature - she was black. If they had told me that they could have saved themselves a few minutes described everything else about her.
