And I'm not sure the downs were at full strength, they looked to be missing 3 or 4 key players.
Also have it on good authority that Nathan Day could be out for the season because he has Osteitis Pubis.
For all your bullsh*t Jay, you actually make sense :P
So you're not denying it then?

Nathan Day, respect the guy as a footballer but he is a twat. Considering the level he played at IMO he should be more of a role model for the young lads but instead, he would rather elbow them in the back of the head when they aren't looking.......what a hero

Cmon the Vale, good win boys.

Not a really inspiring game to watch....both teams still missing a bit of unity and finding their feet.
Was impressed with Angle Vale's effort only going down 2-1 to the Grove.
Got chatting with a elderly gentleman...George MacDonald, his grandson was playing for Angle Vale (played for the Vale a few years ago)...he is the son of Harry MacDonald who started as a junior at Elizabeth Vale and then played for Salisbury United, Madison Park/Salisbury East/the Pines. George, who is in his 80's, coached Roger Nicholls and Howie Jaques.

Image
Referee Steve Craggs and Nathan Day.....happier times earlier on in the game.

I agree, scrappy game.

The two Vale's seem to have quite the connection.

both acts deserved yellow cards so cant really complain about him being sent off but if I was the coach I woulda been pretty pissed off too, but not at the ref

maybe you should read the posts again NUGGET... I didnt say anything about the elbow or the tackles, just said they both deserved cards (which they got) and said Nathans reaction was that of a "sooky lala" after he got sent off.... but thanks for yet another worthless post, your input is always entertaining

Well said nugget, you should of seen the way they screamed at the ref to send him off as well, a bit piss poor on thier behalf. So much for players code, what next doing a mancini and showing the card as well. Didnt hear to many downs lads cry when your players were leading with thier elbows going for headers. Well done to the bungers on the win but as stated before harden the f**k up.

You talk about players code?

So going after the youngest kid on the park and elbowing him in the back of the head when he was walking away is with in the players code??? Day derserved to get sent off well before he did, end of story.
Difference was we threw our elbows going for the ball
