Newcastle
Where does everyone think they will finish??
They just continue to win games and pick up points.
As a Liverpool fan its pretty frustrating, but at the moment everyone is dropping silly points (gunners and chelsea included) and cant seem to break away from them.
Cisse looked pretty handy after his debut and he might just help them to stay up there in the top 6.

Re: Newcastle
I hope they keep the pace with the top 6, fantastic club and good to see them thriving again after being promoted. That said I hope they stay in the top 6 at someone else's expense. If we win tonight 3 points separating 4-7th, turning out to be a very interesting season, would love to see spurs fall back into the mix as well.East Boy wrote:Where does everyone think they will finish??

Re: Newcastle
they will finish 6th!
Top 3 will be between Mancity, ManU and spurs
Mancity title to lose
chelsea and arsenal to fight for 4th spot
Newcastle to edge out liverpooooo

All yr paople have been saying that we will start dropping points but we keep getting results. Cisse scored a great half volley and looks like he may turn out to be a great signing.
I think 6th.
Paipss Cisse
he scores when he wants.

I don't think Spurs are in the title race any more. I'm sorry to tell you this but you left the 'L' off the end of Liverpool. I'm sorry to have pointed this out in such a public forum and I apologise whole heartedly for any embarrassment this has caused you or your family.
On another note I would like to say whilst I disagree with you about the place in which Liverpool will be situated come May, I do respect your right to your wrong opinion.

Re: Newcastle
Tottenham and Arsenal as their next 2 away games.
A home derby with an on fire Sunderland and home easy win vs Wolves inbetween.
If they can bag at least 7pts from these 4 then they're the real deal for 4th.
Arsenal's next 5 games are pretty tough same with Liverpool.
Chavs have easiest next set of games. If Chelsea can capitalise it should be game over for 4th. If they start slipping up against WBA, Stoke and Bolton...Sunderland might pass em for 7th!

Re: Newcastle
I truly think Newcastle will struggle against the likes of spurs and arsenal. Not too sure how many top 6 teams they have beaten this year, but its the business end of the season. You would think the experienced campainers would get the points, especially at home. The Kop wrote:Tottenham and Arsenal as their next 2 away games.

Chelsea do have a much easier next month. But they are playing with such low confidence they might just struggle against the sides battling, parking the bus and frustrating them.
I would love us (liverpool) to get a win against spurs and at least a draw against man u over the next week. that would set us up for a real shot at 4th.

Re: Newcastle
I think it's dependant on whether they get back any defenders from injury. Taylor is now out with that injury he sustained in the lead up to the first goal. They've been playing some entertaining football that's for sure. My guess would be 6th.

Doesn't matter where they finish, they'll slide back into mediocrity next season.
Although finishing above Liverpool would be A+++

why would u say that?El Capitano wrote:Doesn't matter where they finish, they'll slide back into mediocrity next season.
the best bit of business they ever did was selling Carroll to Liverpool, buying Ba for an absolute steal. Watch them sell him for a big sum and allow them to bring in more quality to the club.

Not just Carroll, getting rid of Nolan and Barton was a good move.Chelsea4thewin wrote:why would u say that?El Capitano wrote:Doesn't matter where they finish, they'll slide back into mediocrity next season.

But in reality there's a surprise team each year, it just happens to be Newcastle's turn.

Also, they would be smart to sell Demba Ba for as much as they can in the summer, has one season wonder written all over him, and his knees are shot.

has a good record at all the clubs he has played at, 37 in 97 at Hoffenheim, 7 in 12 at west ham and now 16 in 20 at Newcastle

There's a reason why no broker will insure him.
Newcastle better home they can move him on before his knee goes.

u have no idea what u r saying ..
altho he's not a frequent goal scorer as when he was in bolton, but he's totally dominated the midfield ...
i remember how those toons fans complained about it when he has been sold
