Waiting for a bite?Horda wrote:i think Downs will be all bark like last year
True, but first game of the yr as a unit.Horda wrote:if u looked at Downs they were close to full strength minus Nathan. Not waiting for a bite at all just stating by what i saw they will be all bark again
Point taken Horda, but all clubs have 'ring ins' this time of year if you are meaning players that played yesterday and are currently not registered with us. Vale had Hutchy, Moggy from last years PHE side and a couple of other handy players. Downs had Trimboli, Steve Hughes plus a couple of others. So I believe that all clubs have so called ring ins. Let me assure you that Elizabeth Grove is no different and has a few new faces and all these players have expressed their interest in playing for our club. Will these players be playing for us in round one hope so but time will tell. All clubs are in the same boat as no player has registered for the Amateur league for the 2012 season. In saying that congratulations to the Vale great day yesterday, great hosts and looking forward to next week!Horda wrote:i don't think that was a fully exclusive Grove side tbh a few ring ins for sure.
How did these two go yesterday??Cornflakes wrote:Point taken Horda, but all clubs have 'ring ins' this time of year if you are meaning players that played yesterday and are currently not registered with us. +1Horda wrote:wasn't taking a shot was more making the point that may not be the same Grove side that starts in rd 1 is all. I thought they looked quite good once they settled into the game and was glad to see them beat the downs
obviously you have no idea what you are talking about........knobHorda wrote:i don't think that was a fully exclusive Grove side tbh a few ring ins for sure.
Moggy was my BOG yesterday at sweeper. Hutchy had a great first half on the wing, those two will be a great asset this yr.East Boy wrote:How did these two go yesterday??Cornflakes wrote:Point taken Horda, but all clubs have 'ring ins' this time of year if you are meaning players that played yesterday and are currently not registered with us. We were always going to lose a couple, but sad to see these two leave the East, especially Dave who was captain last year for majority of the season......

Dont believe the Downs had any ring ins.. they looked full strength bar Nathan. Two goals I seen came from new players in #15 not sure of his name & Charles Marwe - very good addition. Morrison went off early to injury & Jason as always dangerous inside the 18yard boxCornflakes wrote:Point taken Horda, but all clubs have 'ring ins' this time of year if you are meaning players that played yesterday and are currently not registered with us. DOWNS LAD wrote:I must of been playing in a different game coz I thought we drew 3-3. As for our lineup we had 8 new players start the game plus we were missing Nathan, Agars, mori and spags. it was a first hit out and I'm sure week by week we'll get better and better ready for round one.
From what I saw, I dont think you should be looking at the Downs losing the game, the Grove won it. They had a great second half and pushed the ball around well.haywood djablowme wrote: Dont believe the Downs had any ring ins.. they looked full strength bar Nathan. Downs looked to have all the new boys on show even a new half the size keeper![]()
Grove had a couple of handy new players in #16 & #10. Boree was watching nearby BUT no Mori
Long way to go yet till season kick off many a move to be made by all
For all your bullsh*t Jay, you actually make senseJay Cartwright wrote: From what I saw, I dont think you should be looking at the Downs losing the game, the Grove won it. They had a great second half and pushed the ball around well.
And I'm not sure the downs were at full strength, they looked to be missing 3 or 4 key players.
Also have it on good authority that Nathan Day could be out for the season because he has Osteitis Pubis.
