From what I hear though there are a few Western Suburb clubs that have benefited numbers wise because of it.

Re: FC Adelaide
There is 2 players from last year's relegated FC Adelaide side that could probably make a Div 2 first team squad. Franco, I heard that the ex president and his friends are all training with the Vipers. They would be lucky to make your C's side!
Re: FC Adelaide
And thats the attitude of disrespect to hard working club people that brought FCA to its knees, finnidi george. instead of recognizing Luke for the hard work he put in all season last year, you lay the boot into him as a player, when he is actually a more than capable wing back, doesnt mind getting dirty, and delivers a decent cross, with good attacking instincts.finnidi george wrote:There is 2 players from last year's relegated FC Adelaide side that could probably make a Div 2 first team squad. Also, Petros, I believe, won the B's best and fairest, but due to the 'mates' policy that was rife at FCA, he hardly got a chance to prove himself at the A Grade level, besides coming off the bench after a full game of B's. He is a good link player and a solid left side player.
Some of those 'C' players some people with a 'mightier-than-thou' attitude at FCA may have learnt a thing or two from some of the boys in the C teams (and some select few members in the B's and A's) about effort, gut running and club spirit. There were more than a couple of players from the C's, who during the crap dished out as 'training nights', taught a lesson to a few of the so-called A's stars.
Re: FC Adelaide
Well said Fitz. If FCA had the spirit that the C's showed the club wouldn't be in the mess its in. Just look at Tuesday night trainings. out of the 8 blokes that regularly bothered to turned up 6 would be C's (maybe cos they needed the training, in my case definately!) but if a club isn't going to base their selection policy on training form (which it clearly wasn't) why should anyone put in effort? The people who train hard don't get a look in and the players who don't train do get selected for not training.Fitz wrote:And thats the attitude of disrespect to hard working club people that brought FCA to its knees, finnidi george. instead of recognizing Luke for the hard work he put in all season last year, you lay the boot into him as a player, when he is actually a more than capable wing back, doesnt mind getting dirty, and delivers a decent cross, with good attacking instincts.finnidi george wrote:There is 2 players from last year's relegated FC Adelaide side that could probably make a Div 2 first team squad. I had a great time with FCA but the writing for this was on the wall long ago.
R.I.P. FCA!
Re: FC Adelaide
ignore the snipers on this forum lads, its not worth the hassle.
its not the clubs fault just those associated with it.
i will say we learnt the hard way but now i am confident to say my club accepts all as equals.
Sure it is the A squad that determines what div we play in but along with them the b,c, and d,s are usually the ones that make the club what it is.
On a side note the boys mentioned, from what i have seen would be an asset to any club they choose to play at.

Re: FC Adelaide
A real shame- I am gutted to hear this. I played there for 4 years and had a great time, met some really good lads and was lucky to play in the Killer B's when we won the Div 2 Reserves title in 2009. The C's also won the title that year, hard to believe 3 years later and the club is gone. I came from an Aussie rules background and had never played before but was welcomed into the club and given a shot straight away which said alot about the club and the people there. As I already said, a great bunch of lads - RIP FCA.

Ahhh Hawker, once again you sprout crapolla...
Your information is like your sex life, a mere shadow of reality.
You have done your dash with every Greek club in the western suburbs but you can not let go.
you are a myth, a poor excuse that could not make it as a player and get your thrills from posting negativity on a soccer forum.
you make me appreciate what I have in life
I do pitty you though, there's something for you

Ah Franco looks like word has got around that you 'kapsi' (burn) greek clubs.....
I have it on good authority that you were quite a trailblazer back in Queensland....
Is it true that you have done the dash with the following clubs over there?
Hervey Bay Hellenic, Archerfield Arhidia, Toowoomba Tzatzikies, Maroochydore Mounares, Cooparoo Kourathes,
Doomben Dolmades, Fortitude Valley Fetas & Zillmere Zorbas.....
P.s I still think you're a top bloke
