Brahma Lodge SC Pre-Season
Brahma Lodge SC will commence pre-season under the watchful eyes of new first team coach Tony Reeves and assistant Barrie Cook on Wednesday January 25th starting at 6:30 pm.
Location - Mortess St, Brahma Lodge. The following week, and for the rest of the season, training will be held on Wednesday & Friday nights from 6.45pm.
All new, current and past players are more than welcome to come down. There will be a BBQ after training to for the new guys to get to know the coach and committee.
At this stage we are planning on entering As, Bs, Cs, a Women's team as well as the return of the over 35s after a year off recuperating from those old war wounds
Hope to see as many of you out there as possible

I can understand a bit of defensiveness and standing up for your club, and it's fair enough... but OR has brought up a pretty fair and relevant issue.BPBC wrote:True, they should have just kept it to this forum like youOldRedback wrote:Yeah because we've all missed their moaning, whingeing and constant complaining to the ref.I_am_Costanza wrote: as well as the return of the over 35s after a year off
Every time I see the ol celts play I am amazed at how much they moan to the ref and bicker amongst themselves and would go as far to say I haven't seen anything like it. The lads even admit it themselves! (Altho, obvbiously some are louder than others, I don't recall a certain Mr. O'Neill joining in)
I filled in for them once at Ladywood and was close to leaving them to it!
Anyhoo, good luck to the club this year, some good mates I've made over the years are down there and at this stage, I am considering graduating to the o35 now I am legal, so look forward to meeting Graham and co. thru the year for some banter and arm curls at the bar. I'll just have my ear plugs ready!!

firstly, did you not notice the word 'true' at the start of my post, hardly defensive!Rhino wrote:I can understand a bit of defensiveness and standing up for your club, and it's fair enough... but OR has brought up a pretty fair and relevant issue.BPBC wrote:True, they should have just kept it to this forum like youOldRedback wrote: Yeah because we've all missed their moaning, whingeing and constant complaining to the ref.

I played most of the 07 season with the hoops and games here and there over the years since. They most definately are not the only team in that comp who whinge and moan to the ref, i just fail to see the need to constantly bring it up here. If you'd like i could list them all in order of ear pain (yes our lads would be fighting for top spot!)
Either way this is a topic about the 2012 season, in particular the most important aspect being our A's B's and C's. The 35's will be returing, with a host of players who've been embarassing themselves in div 9 Sunday and div 4 saturday over the past 3 years, as well as the return of some of the former 35's players, and hopefully some who've never donned the BLSC gear before.
We whinge we moan, we grunt we groan, we have a shanty as our home, The old Brahma c#nts are on the pitch again, again
Roll on 2012 look forward to seeing the rest of you old fkers in the over 35's over the season, good luck

Maybe you missed some of mine.

& it's the first time I've seen it on here, so if we sound like a broken record, then fair enough, point taken. I'm just @ home on hol's with a bit more time than usual, saw something I could relate to and decided to comment.
I played in our o35 side in 07 too, as I had work commitments on Saturdays, and remember playing your lot in the last game of the season, where one of your lads (forget the name, Mark?) was going for golden boot. We had a laugh about me offering to score an og for him coz he had no chance of scoring otherwise, lol.
...& please do the ear pain list, that would be a cracker,

As I said, good luck to the bra for 2012. Good club, good people. See you out there BPBC.
Re: Brahma Lodge SC Pre-Season
all good, just dont call me defensive, im barely any good at attacking either
yeah Mark Russell, missed that game myself as was at hossie for the birth of my daughter, no doubt i would have laid it on a platter for him if i was there
they were all as a bad as one another for the whinging, but lets be fair, they aint seen nothin yet.
