Top 4 Predictions??
So here's the current top 7
Man City 20 48
Man Utd 20 45
Tottenham 20 45
Chelsea 20 37
Arsenal 20 36
Liverpool 20 34
Newcastle 20 33
Who do you all think will finish in the top 4 this season?
I'm picking Tottenham to slump and finish 5th ( it's a roughie, but that's what my gut says)
Man City
Man U
Chelsea
Arsenal

Re: Top 4 Predictions??
I think Liverpool may have the edge. We host spurs, Chelsea and arsenal and only travel to Newcastle and man u. Already played city twice. It's close but nobody has been covincing. I think chelsea will spend this transfer market as will Liverpool however I would have to say arsenal if rvp stays fit. They have a class loan in henry who will score them a fair few points.
In the title race, man city will win and spurs will do what Liverpool did a few seasons back. Get close but choke at the wrong time. Man u to finish 3rd and 4th is too hard to pick one team

Typical deluded Liverpool supporter's argument that we have heard for the last twenty years - why do you lot keep doing it to yourselves?totsreds08 wrote:I think Liverpool may have the edge. If you read my post, you'd see I personally think arsenal will get it however, from a netruel perspective, Liverpool host arsenal Chelsea and spurs which could work in our favour.

Re: Top 4 Predictions??
You really think Arsenal will make up 12 points in 18 games on City with their squad? That's bizarre.totsreds08 wrote:If you read my post, you'd see I personally think arsenal will get it however, from a netruel perspective, Liverpool host arsenal Chelsea and spurs which could work in our favour.

With a bit of luck and a good run of results, I hope the Pool make a charge to 4th but I think it's too early with the current squad. Next year the chance of top four will improve dramatically...

Re: Top 4 Predictions??
Man Utd - Aren't Man Utd notoriously known for their 2nd half of the season?
Man City - Pressure should get to Man City, they haven't been in this position for a while.
Chelsea - Chelsea have been inconsistent but when push comes to shove, they'll get the job done.
Arsenal/Spurs - I can't decide on 4th spot. If Van Persie keeps his form Arsenal should get it, if not Spurs.

Re: Top 4 Predictions??
I hate to go against history but I really think United are a shadow of their former selves so, for that reason, I think City will win the league. I honestly don't think there's much to choose between the other 5 in terms of ability so it will come down to injuries / suspensions / decisions and a large slice of luck. Obviously United and Spurs have a bit of a head start on the others, but it's a lot more interesting than recent seasons.El Capitano wrote:Man Utd - Aren't Man Utd notoriously known for their 2nd half of the season?

Seen nothing from Arsenal or Chelsea to suggest they're better than Liverpool. Being home against them helps, but it's the non-big matches against easy fodder that will decide it.
On that basis, assuming they don't go ballistic in the transfer window:
City
Spurs
United
Liverpool

Looking at the fixtures list, Chelsea have a pretty good run in to the end of the season. I think they have the edge in that regard over LFC. My analytical side says Chelsea, my heart says LFC. Assnal will be very very close and 5th/6th may be seperated by goal diff or 1 point. Newcastle to drop points over second half of season, and especially in the next month and a half.
COME ON LIVERPOOL!
