Taggart willing to sell Rooney

Post by Ernie Cooksey »

Has been quoted apparently, sounding fishal, all over the radio, and in early edition of The Independent, as soon as the end of this current window is the talk!

Now from BBC, United and Rooney have issued joint statement denying he'll be sold during this window.

Re: Taggart willing to sell Rooney

MANCHESTER UNITED last night rubbished claims that Alex Ferguson is set to sell Wayne Rooney.

The Old Trafford club described the story as "absolute nonsense."

And Rooney's agent Paul Stretford dismissed the tale as "a complete load of rubbish."

It was said relations between the United boss and his star striker had broken down completely in the wake of the 26-year-old England ace's Boxing Day night out on the town.

Ferguson fined Rooney and dropped him for the home game against Blackburn on New Year's Eve.

But he was restored to the starting line-up for the trip to Newcastle where the Reds slumped to a 3-0 defeat, with Rooney substituted after 74 minutes.

United, though, continue to insist there is no rift.

A spokesman said: "We said it last weekend and we are saying it again now — the Boxing Day matter has been dealt with and everyone has moved on.

"We at United are saying that and so is Wayne and his people. The story is absolute nonsense."
The older I get the better I was.

They issued similar statements with Keane, Beckham, RVN, all were sold soon after.

It's called value adding....no we don't want to sell him...(unless you make an offer that is too good to refuse).

and this season you have been knocked out of 2 of the 4 comps you entered (already). and it could easily be 3 in a day or 2.

And LFC are still competing in all their comps, admittedly we don't have as high expectations at present, but we are doing OK. Not in decline like you.

Ever since I've been a member of this forum since 2006 you've been saying that we're in decline and that you're improving as a club! And here we are are again 6 years later and We're the champions of England yet again and Liverpool haven't won any silverware!

I suppose if you keep saying the same thing eventually you'll get lucky and it might happen occasionally. I also didn't realise we were supposed to win every trophy every season!

You aren't as good as you were last year. You won a poor league.

And you didn't join in 2006 BTW, so as usual you are talking shit.

Come back when you have something sensible and accurate to post.

Sorry 2007 then? But the most important thing in all this is that we're substantially better than you as a club and and a team and there would have to be some serious decline on our part to end up in a situation where we're challenging for sixth spot and trophy less for years!

At least you're making progress though ey? Not a lot but it's an improvement from when Hodgson was in charge right?
