Death of State League
Campbelltown have pulled out
Ad Hills have only got 1 team and not sure where to put it
Parafield are dropping out
Ad Uni and possibly Para Hills promoted
Leaves Flinders and Toros and neither have Juniors next season...
Our game is in big trouble.

Re: Death of State League
if true, very disturbing, especially if some Prem clubs are struggling as well.

Re: Death of State League
Ok, which Prems teams are struggling? Olympic keeps saying that despite the rumors, they're going to be ok. - Sturt still looking for numbers, but everyone else seems to be fine. I think there is still some movement of players to come since Uni can't, and didn't (from what I hear) take everyone who applied. Let's not write the whole thing off quite yet. looking like an 8 team comp.
State League is a different matter, unless clubs from Div 1 are looking to move up it seems pretty small at the moment. Can Clubs with Prems sides have teams in State League? Didn't think so.

Re: Death of State League
State league needs to be a strong Div. 1 - all promotion and relegation from Div 5 ..
Teams that want to be promoted to Prem's and fit the requirements should be offered the spot of the bottom side .
Womens football clubs cannot support/fill as many teams as is required at the moment and the FFSA needs to understand that the best intended plans on paper are not achievable in an Amateur situation.
Look how many club hoppers there are , if a club has a tough year or two 3/4 of the team leave's and try's to get into the top club .
My thoughts anyway....

Why possibly? We finished top 2, therefore we go up. Unless FFSA have told you something different to what they tell us....pinkyellowblue wrote:Campbelltown have pulled out

Re: Death of State League
its getting very sad the way things are in the whole situation in the womans game , teams are offering to pay players to get them there in that case then there are major problems , you surely cant lose so many players at once without making huge changes in the structure, the death started back when SAWSA dropped the reserves and the reserves teams were playing I think it was div2, teams were getting thrashed and they started forfeitting, then I would love to know how many players were registered the year after, I know Anton would not be happy about this and to be honest it all went downhill when he left the womans game, thats just my opinion

Re: Death of State League
All good naming the above clubs (only rumours I must say) but who has nominated to join the state league from social div 1 to replace uni & para hills?pinkyellowblue wrote:Campbelltown have pulled out

Maybe some of these clubs have taken a step back realized that they don't want to compete in a 5 team comp and refused to continue at that level.
Wake up ffsa This is all your fault and very unfair on the great local talent out in the community

Will have to wait until team nominations close at end of Feb to find out.
Unless clubs are willing to say on the forum before hand.

The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.
