WANDERERS SA TOP CLUB

Post by Diego10 »

Adelaide Wanderers will be a force in the next 3 years , from what i have seen they have tha financial backing and a huge support base.
I heard they will be developing new change rooms and two other new grounds across the road near 36rs stadium.

We will see where the wanderer's are after 3-5 years, I think a team created with a strong supporter base (geographical etc.) is a lot better than a team created out of nothing other than cash and a group of players... if there is no heart and soul to a club it will always attract mercenaries and people out for self glory....

I hope I am wrong cause the stronger the clubs at the lower level the better the whole state of soccer will be in SA. I hope that by raising the bar they (wanderers) inspire other clubs to do the same but for the right reasons of course!!

What kind of support base do the Wanderers have?

Do they get big crowds at games?

Amateur clubs go up and down (with regards to the quality of the side, and the supporter base) annually.

The nature of players following mates/coaches around means that a team can go from promising to crap in a very short time (as one or two key people leaving often starts a mass exodus).

In the case of Wanderers, without Perin and Brazzale do they even have anybody else who's decent? I haven't seen them play so don't know first hand.
