January Transfer Window
Thought I'd start a thread now as most bogus rumours start to fade and teams are confirming interest

If I'd have said this time last year Torres to Chelsea you would have said "Never - he's Liverpool through and through, our No 9 blah blah blah.........."sua7ez wrote:David Villa: Barcelona to Liverpool

Re: January Transfer Window
podolski, gotze and hazard to arsenal. there are some STRONG rumours tying these to arsenal and there is still M'Vila and Beck, could wenger smash the bank and fork out around 100mil for all them?
Re: January Transfer Window
Podzolski Hazard and M'Vila maybe. Gotze no way imo# 9 wrote:podolski, gotze and hazard to arsenal. there are some STRONG rumours tying these to arsenal and there is still M'Vila and Beck, could wenger smash the bank and fork out around 100mil for all them?

Lille came out saying Hazard can go at the right price, slapping a 43 million pound price tag on him, if he does go it I'd imagine it'd be a lot less than they want.
Gary Cahill to Chelsea looked every bit like happening a week ago, havent heard much since, Chelsea also planning a raid on Barcelona's B squad targeting 3 young players. Sergi Roberto the only one looking likely, Rafa Alcantara (younger brother of Thiago) and Martin Montoya are another two who have been linked.

I wonder if Chelsea would entertain any bids for Torres?

My thoughts exactly. I reckon 25-30 mill and they might be tempted to let him go. Love to have him at Spurs!!sua7ez wrote:and post a MAJOR loss in the process.......certainly not worth near 50 mil anymoreNice One Cyril wrote:I wonder if Chelsea would entertain any bids for Torres?

City to recall Adebayor if things start getting to close with them and Spurs?
Don't expect us to do much this window, maybe one signing(Lucas Moura).

Depends on the terms of the loan, not all of them are recallable. However, given that City are paying the bulk of his wages, you would think this one might be.Lucas is god wrote:City to recall Adebayor if things start getting to close with them and Spurs?

Re: January Transfer Window
Only wishful thinking. I'm sure Spurs won't be splashing in January but it would be interesting if someone did bid for Torres.Chaos wrote:Didn't Harry come forward saying there's no chance of a January shop?Nice One Cyril wrote:My thoughts exactly. I think not.. They're pleased with his performance..Nice One Cyril wrote:I wonder if Chelsea would entertain any bids for Torres?
Di Matteo said that they are pleased with his performance even though the striker didn't score because they're looking at his performance as he play with the team, the same with the other striker.. though his price must be very big I think with his previous performances it is worth it..

Re: January Transfer Window
Harry's even entertained the idea of taking Anelka to Spurs, as for Drogba if he leaves it'll be at seasons end when his contract has run out. Personally I don't really think we NEED to get him out by January so we can get something for him in return, he's proved more than his worth tenfold. His manager has come out saying that he's already proven himself as a footballer and they'll go to whoever offers the bigger salary. Russia, USA even Qatar have been mentioned
Re: January Transfer Window
Anelka and Alex have asked to leave Chelsea in January. The club has allowed it so they'll definitely be going somewhere in January.
Apparently Juve want Alex, and half a dozen teams are after Anelka.

It'll be interesting to see if Man U or Chelsea get him. I suspect with Essien back in December, Romeu playing well, and Meireles being purchased ( as a second choice to Modric) we probably won't.
I think he'll stay at Tottenham to be honest.

Conte just refuted all Alex rumours on Sky Italia after the match: "Do I like Chelsea's Alex? No, in all honesty, I'm more attracted to women..."Litmanen wrote:Anelka and Alex have asked to leave Chelsea in January. The club has allowed it so they'll definitely be going somewhere in January.

Arsenal are currently front runners for him.Chelsea4thewin wrote:i just want Chelsea to sign G. Cahill, he is the long term replacement for Terry in my eyes
Tottenham will fight tooth and nail to keep him, he is a player that can single handedly keep them in the top four. He may however become sale bait for a club that desperately needs a permanent striker and already have two world class midfielders.Litmanen wrote:Le King wrote:modric to Man United in Jan
