A Grade Coach 2012
Old Ignatians' Soccer Club (OISC) is seeking expressions of interest for the position of A Grade Coach in season 2012. OISC will be playing in the Saturday Premier Division of the SAASL, celebrating it's 30th anniversary.

OISC enjoyed a successful 2011 season that was capped by achieving its aim of securing Saturday Premier Division Football for the second successive year after gaining promotion in 2010. The Club will be looking to build on its 2011 season by challenging for honours in 2012, and to achieve this, the current A Grade squad has verbally committed to return for season 2012.

OISC finished 7th in Saturday Premier Division in 2011 and recent honours include the 2007 and 2010 Saturday Division 2 Championships. The Club is keen to foster a competitive culture and is therefore seeking a highly motivated individual who is able to help OISC challenge for honours in the coming season. The A Grade Coach will work closely with the B Grade Coach (Reserves) to foster player development and enable maximum competitiveness.

OISC currently has six teams and over 100 players registered across the Saturday Divisions of the SAASL and is expecting to field similar numbers in Season 2012. The Club is based at Margaret Bond Oval, Conyngham Street, Glenunga and trains twice weekly.

Remuneration is negotiable based upon experience and qualifications.

Other Coaching Positions 2012

Old Ignatians' Soccer Club (OISC) envisions that it will again field six teams across the Saturday Divisions of the SAASL and is seeking expressions of interest for following positions in Season 2012:
- B Grade Coach (Saturday, Premier Division Reserves)
- C Grade Coach (Saturday, Division 4A)
- D Grade Coach (Saturday, Division 4 Reserves)

The B Grade coaching position offers an opportunity to coach a traditionally strong team in the 2012 Saturday Premier Reserve Competition. The B Grade has continued to finish in the top 4 for the last 5 seasons and consistently progressed to the quarter finals stage of the Reserve Cup, finishing Runner up in 2009 and being eliminated at the Quarter final Stage in 2010 and Round 3 in 2011. The B Grade coach is expected to work closely with the A Grade coach to enable player development and foster competition between the squads.

The C Grade coaching position offers an opportunity to coach a diverse and talented squad in a 'first team' environment in the 2012 Saturday Division 4 Competition. The C Grade were relegated from Division 3A in 2011, after achieving promotion by winning Division 4A in 2010. The C Grade position offers an excellent 'apprenticeship' to a future coaching career and will have a strong squad at their disposal.

The D Grade coaching position offers an opportunity to coach a traditionally successful squad that finished top 4 in Division 3B in 2011 and won back to back Division 4B titles in 2009 and 2010. The D Grade coach will work closely with the C Grade coach to foster competitiveness and player development.

In addition, OISC also expects to field an E Grade squad in Division 5 as well as an F Grade squad in Division 6 in 2012. These teams play at 11.30am on Saturday and coaching positions for these Grades are also available.

The Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Con Kapnistis as A Grade coach for season 2012. Con brings with him a wealth of experience at the highest levels that will no doubt hold OISC in good stead for season 2012 and we look forward to working with him.

Rocco D'Onofrio will be joining him as the A Grade Assistant Coach and B Grade Coach for 2012 and will work closely with the A Grade in the pursuit of success.

We are also pleased to welcome back Lenny Vella, who will be coaching the C Grade in 2012.
