Australia v. China, Thur 10 Oct 2024
Ticketek advise a sellout for all these Sections: Platinum, Category A, Category B, Category C, Family, Australia Active Support , China Active Support and Fully Restricted View.
But I briefly heard there might be a late release of some tickets. I have relatives & friends making a late decision to come to this World Cup Qualifier.
Can any forumite share a light on this? From memory there was a similar late release for the last sellout Matildas game here. They might have been from the unsold allocation of tickets to the Camry Crows who cannily claimed to be part of the football “family”.

Tony Popovic has named an extended 26-man squad ahead of Australia’s AFC Asian Qualifiers.

Seven Adelaide guys in the Squad. They’ll be motivated to perform well in front of 50,000. That crowd will surely cheer louder than a handful of Chinese students.eagleboy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2024 6:08 pm Tony Popovic has named an extended 26-man squad ahead of Australia’s AFC Asian Qualifiers.

You underestimate Chinese students.

Re: Australia v. China, Thur 10 Oct 2024
Dunno Bourne I/D. (ps, good action-thriller was that 2002 movie “The Bourne Identity”).
Hopefully Australia will be 2 or 3 up by half-time which will quieten the Chinese students and surely the rest of the sellout 50,000 crowd will lift the Socceroos.
ps, get this, this morning on the radio FiveAAFL ‘all-sports’ show - one compere clown didn’t even know what night the Adelaide Oval Qualifier was on. Perhaps he’ll be at Alberton Oval watching the Port Pirie Power versus Collingwood game on the same night (Thur 10 Oct), or watching that AFLW game on 7mate. Or he’s also got the option of “Home and Away” on Ch7. Anything but watching his Country in this important World Cup Qualifier live on Ch10.
pps, ditto for forumites Ofor Fuxake and zzzzz I bet. Or Bourne I/D, do think they”ll be streaming episodes of 1950s/1960s Yankee sitcom show “Leave it to Beaver”?

Nice for Goody to score at home, maybe Palace will sign him now

Yep Cyril, that was a great Goody goal. I wuz right behind the trajectory.Nice One Cyril wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 5:54 amNice for Goody to score at home, maybe Palace will sign him now
ps, how poor was our National broadsheet “The Australian” not having a preview of the match on Thursday 10 October, or a game pic or match report today (11 Oct)?
pps, forumites Ofor-(fornication’s)-Fuxake and zzzzz are silent about this positive result. No doubt they’ll climb out of under their rock if things go awry on Tuesday 15 October @ high-flying Japan.

In fairness to ZZZ he doesn't post about anything soccer related. His is strictly politically contradictory to anything mainstream. He might comment on his displeasure of WA Hellas wall or the lack of a barrier at Croydon distracting from his YouTube viewing.Con M wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 12:40 pmYep Cyril, that was a great Goody goal. Actually you can compare his goal to Sam Kerr's goal against England.

And Ofor doesn't appear to have anything against the national side either, just the world cup. The avatar suggests more of an issue with qatar.eagleboy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 12:54 pmIn fairness to ZZZ he doesn't post about anything soccer related. Re: Australia v. China, Thur 10 Oct 2024
Nope. No-one should be fair to zzzzz. In the Socceroos W.C. Campaign thread it wrote on 6/9/24 “you should be worried about Indonesia” and “Japan is in a different league” and a string of other put-downs about Straya . I honestly can’t work out if it lives here or is posting from overseas.eagleboy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 12:54 pmIn fairness to ZZZ he doesn't post about anything soccer related. Nope. “It” was also horrible about Straya but a search of “it’s” posts just shows “it” is BANNED.Yellow Fever wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 1:41 pmAnd Ofor doesn't appear to have anything against the national side either, just the world cup. In Adelaide maybe, but I'm usually only in Adelaide for the first week of every month.

You can lead a horse to water but they are bloody hard to drown.
