Re: Rangers v Celtic
Well, I didn't see that coming. Rangers shellacked Celtic in every aspect of the game.
I watched it until goal 3 and expected to wake up another goal or 2 to the bad. Rangers deserved to win 5:0 at least.

Re: Rangers v Celtic
This seems like a repeat of the last time they beat us 3-0 at Ibrox when it didn't matter as Celtic had already won the league.eagleboy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 9:38 amWell, I didn't see that coming. Rangers shellacked Celtic in every aspect of the game.

but we are still 11 points up and +24 goal difference better.
Regardless, by all reports Celtic were shambolic and Rangers dominated throughout. Have seen this before from Rangers but thought Celtic would be more aware of the threat. Sure, in the grand scheme of things Celtic should still stroll the League but Rodgers will be livid with how poorly they performed.
A few words may explain the result- such as hunger, determination, motivation etc. Rangers showed it in abundance and Celtic looked like they were going through the motions. Rodgers knows how to win against Rangers when it really matters- one wonders if it will have any ramifications in the league race as the season unfolds.
I think not as I expect Celtic to take the wake up call as required. As for Clement and Rangers, credit is due for a solid performance but you have to question where the hunger, determination, motivation was when they underperformed against many of the 'less-fancied' teams?
Clement has bought himself some time with this result but it will be borrowed time only if they fail to win the Scottish Cup.
As for Celtic- expect them to delve in to the transfer market and sign a couple of decent players.

Re: Rangers v Celtic
I'm genuinely happy that teams like Dundee can give Celtic and Rangers a game now and again- then again most teams at home can give Rangers a game!
As for my team- I expect them to get stronger during this transfer window and securing the services of Kieran Tierney would be an excellent signing. Strange that Arsenal are giving him some game time at last- perhaps they hope he plays well and some other club is willing to take a punt on him and pay some hard cash before his contract expires.
According to most reports the smart money is on Tierney returning to Celtic and it always helps if the player is a supporter of the club (not to mention his willingness to take a hefty pay cut). Nothing is ever set in stone until the deal is done.

Aberdeen started off so well but they've dropped off.

Re: Rangers v Celtic
Transfer hotline is in overdrive atm at Celtic.
Tammy Abraham to Celtic on loan to replace Kyogo.
Jota back.
Tierney back.
Kyogo is a massive loss but a £10 million transfer for a 30yo is not bad.

Re: Rangers v Celtic
Another sore one for Rangers to put it mildly, the bears will want to see Clemente given the sack as it gives Celtic a big chance to secure yet another treble. Rangers will probably stay with him and see if they can somehow win the UEFA Cup which is a big ask as you would imagine their confidence will take a dive.eagleboy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 8:21 am Rangers 0 :1 Queen's Park

This Rangers team know how to win a game of football- but only in the ones that don't matter!

As much as I hate to say it, he has been a great signing.Nice One Cyril wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 7:41 amNot to the sweaties.![]()
Schmeichel could be a top signing though.
I probably spend more time lurking than posting.

Re: Rangers v Celtic
It has been reported that he was entitled to 1.2 million pounds compensation but an agreement was reached on half that figure. It was always going to be a tough gig for him against a team that have buckets of cash and a very able manager.
Not gloating or bagging him, it's just the nature of the game- second best in Glasgow is nowhere near good enough and if you count the Scottish Cup defeat at home to Queens Park perhaps you could say they are third best!

Re: Rangers v Celtic
Sevco lose at home again as Celtic go marching on. The title race could mathematically be over by the time the two halves of the table go their separate ways.

Yes, and an agreement has been reached to accommodate away fans at Celtic Park. I would imagine Celtic will plan to rub their 'blue' noses in it. Barry Fergusson will be lined up like a lame duck by then, he is only there short term until the rumoured take-over takes place. I would be surprised if Celtic don't crush them.

Re: Rangers v Celtic
Another day in paradise. Off to semi final now.2:0 over Hibs a good result. Hibs have been a form side in the SPL lately. Boyle back in top for augers well for the Socceroos. Triantis must be close to a call up as well.
I am rapped in Jeffrey Schlupp as a loan signing. Really good in this league, should be playing EPL.
