Re: Cup Final Results
Went to the watch the Prem final and enjoyed the game, however as a neutral I cannot support the previous game analysis. I thought Metro were far more in control and created 5 good chances as opposed to AC's 2. ( Finishing was poor agreed ) The goal was a freak and great opertunism. However I cannot ...

Re: Goalkeeper Clearances
I agree totaly mate but most club coaches have limited time to deal with squad of 15 players let alone do specialised goalkeeper training. Neil TATE, Chris HIGGIN's and Rob MATOSOVIC all do specific keeper training as we do at AFPP. I have recently spent 2 hours per session on a young keeper on his ...

Re: Goalkeeper Clearances
Many academies in Europe do not worry about keepers until the age of 11 or 12 then they develop those outfield players that are not accepted to play outfield as they know they have decent footskills ?????????????? Appears to work for them. At AFPP we ensure the keepers have plenty of footdrills as ...

Re: FFA releases national coaching blueprint
Well done to the FFA for getting this document out there. I for one welcome its release and look forward to measuring its success. As for the many post on formations remember we need to have players with a knowledge to play any formation and more importantly the abilty to change when it is required ...

Re: Treating kids like ready meals harms us all - Good article
Academies will always exist as they deliver what club coaches cannot do and the that is development. A club coach cannot spend 30 minutes on one player on one topic as all the other players and parents would feel left out. Also academies deliver other things like food and nutrition that only ...

Re: EDJSA = Stupidity
I am old fashioned and think FFA and FFSA SHOULD oversee and rule every competition. However this should be done with development in mind and not dollars etc. I welcome further meetings between the 2 bodies to come to an agreement suitable to both but also one that benefits football development at ...

Sounds like the whole competition was a huge success. Hope it continues next year and teams prepair better. Wonder if some sponsor / orginisor could arrange a similar cup, maybe SA only for more age groups and possibly girls too. We all know there is not enough preseason games for the young players ...

Re: Why is 'AFPP UK academy camp' topic locked ???
Yes logos were removed as per requests from AU and FFSA. A FFA ruling has been envoked that stated no Private Academy can work directly with A-League or any FFA bodies. AFPP are in direct contact with local clubs and associations to challenge and modify this rule. Like Robert the Bruce I am off to ...

Clubs with vacancies for new players
Hi
I have 2 girls looking to train and play in 2009, one is in year 7 the other year 12. Both play for school but have not played at club level. Is there any clubs in the Northern areas looking for new players who can develop as they are keen.

Re: Small Sided Football in 2009

Re: A question for Junior coaches
Sorry mate cannot agree that a child cannot return comments. Like I said ...

Re: Small Sided Football in 2009
Wonderful debate on SSG and junior development in general, to many points to feed back on but will say that I think too many people are locked into SSG as a name. I suggest we should have called it SAG Size Appropriate Games. Same ideas and concepts but people may have grasped it better ie how can ...

Re: Enfield Juniors are a shambles
If Enfield are struggling suggest people get behind them and turn the club around ( if this is whats required ) washing dirty laundry in public will not help anyone. If you can help them then do so if you can't leave them alone. Best of luck to ALL clubs at all levels in SA ( This is the best sport ...
