Re: Diving to win penalties..

This counts as unsporting behaviour which would be a yellow card.

Re: ANOTHER JOKE IN WOMANS SOCCER

Hi all I am trying to get a Womens team going in Clare as a starter for a full club with mens and juniors, perhaps we could be Gawler's reserve team until we get big enough to stand on our own two feet, although it is getting a bit late to start now, I would be interested in hearing from clubs who ...

Re: Illawarra Stingrays to replace Mariners?

Yes it is a pity I don't think WWL teams need to be linked to an A league team, Canberra is not, i would try to get a team from Tassie involved as they have few teams in national comps, only the cricket team I think, Illawarra certainly has as much support as Cental Coast and Newcastle based on the ...

Great result for Aussie football, I think this is our first major win outside of Oceania, now the World Cup! Go you good things

Re: How to start a soccer/football club....

Seriously you will need about $5,000 to register the name as a club or business (get a lawyer to do that) and join a Federation either the FFSA or Amatuer league, given the requirements of being in the state league, ground standard, having juniors etc you are probably best off starting in Amatuers ...

Re: Results 16/8

Well done Parafield for winning Div3 even though they were one of the "splitters" who I felt should not have been allowed back in until next season, and I hope they are not one of the teams trying for yet another breakaway league for next year. The women's game will be better with everyone in the 1 ...

Para Hills Div 3 side only had 8 players due to injury so 6-0 was a good result really

Re: Question on Referee's?

HI I can see both sides, there was no ref at my teams game (Para Hills v Flinders Uni) but the guy who filled in did a good job. On the other hand as a ref I know how hard it is for the coordinator to find refs and priority has to be to the higher level games. The answer, more players doing the ref ...

Re: Women's football versus netball and basketball

We had this same thread started by the same person last year, if you want to drag down football don't use this site, soccer/football is about equal with netball in registered players, we have a W league which gets live coverage on the ABC not HD1, SBS shows womens internationals live, I went into a ...

Re: Think Tank Ideas for Women's Soccer

HI all I disagree with the initial post, I think womens football has never been stronger with a W league televised on the ABC each week and more players than we have clubs and coaches to accommodate. I am a new coach who has switched from boys football and I don't think it matters if coaches are ...

Re: SAASL Womens

Much to my chagrin the draw was re done and the first round in Div 3 stands, and the Parafield V Downs game is in hand now, then some games that should and have been played already count, games that have been played but are now later in the draw don't count, as are games that should have been played ...

Re: SAASL Womens

I agree that for the good of the game they should be let back in, and what has been arranged is the best that can be made of a bad bunch, but I am upset that the teams that won last weekend get to keep their points and the four teams that drew lose their point, if the title or relegation is decided ...
