Re: Your line-ups v Sth Africa

yeah, carle is in and is probably more of a chance to play instead of garcia from what i've read. i hear you RE: milligan, but i hope coyne gets a go TBH. he's plugged away in league 1 and the championship for years and deserves a crack. milligan and spiranovic in central defence would be way too ...

Your line-ups v Sth Africa

just wanted to get your line-ups for the South Africa clash, bearing in mind the new changes to the squad. Mine would be: Schwarzer Neill Coyne Spiranovic Chipperfield Garcia Grella Culina Bresciano Kennedy McDonald I do accept that Garcia is unlikely to start, more than likely it will be Wilkshire ...

Re: Burns & Djite left out of Olyroos for Olympics!

Ah. Point taken possibly on McGowan as he has only just broken into the Hearts team, but Wesolowski made 18 games in central midfield for championship side Leicester last year.
as much as that experience would have done him good, he didnt seem to convinving, well from the leicester games on ...

Re: Burns & Djite left out of Olyroos for Olympics!

wtf  hes done the right thing by selecting the player 'who want to play for their country'. vidosic - possibly, ward should be yes, mcgowan no, and wesolowski, not yet.
I beg to differ on McGowan - http://www.inglefarmsoccerclub.com/2007/News/RyanMcGowanInterview07.htm I haven't heard ...

Re: Burns & Djite left out of Olyroos for Olympics!

He's a disgrace. And the leaving out of Burns and Djite should not overshadow the other omissions such as Dario Vidosic, Dean Bouzanis, Nick Ward, Ryan McGowan and James Wesolowski. He's a peanut. For those of you on facebook, join the ``Arnold for the sack'' group. wtf  hes done the right ...

Re: Holman to Kisnoobo to Holman...

Holman is the chink in Pim's formerly sturdy armour... the man is a battler at best. mcdonald has still not had a chance to prove himself, but the man pillaged 25 goals in the scottish premier league and surely must be some sort of player. holman just goes to show that if you are any sort of ...

Return Leg v Iraq... Team suggestions?

Anyone want to have a stab at Pim's side for the clash over the weekend? Bearing in mind our defensive instability on Sunday, my side would be: Schwarzer Emerton-Coyne, Beauchamp, North-Carney Grella Culina, Bresciano, Kewell McDonald In 5-4-1 formation, Emerton and Carney to provide width from the ...

Re: Bruce Djite

He'll be ok i think. Terrific piece of business for Adelaide if that figure is correct. It's a good indication the A-League is making inroads when we are actually commanding substantial figures for our players. Hopefully the days of our best players leaving for free when their contract runs out are ...

Bruce Djite

Djite has confirmed his move to Genclerbirligi, hoping to achieve what Josip Skoko did and Nicky Carle didn't. Anyone have any idea what Adelaide got for him though?

Re: Jade North

If he's going to have a go, it has to be now. I think he'll do fine. Glad to see Chris Coyne belatedly get a go a Socceroo level. Has been a very good Championship defender for some seasons now. Kisnorbo will be a Socceroo of the future too. He just needs time and confidence.

Re: Socceroos U23 in Malaysia 23-05-08

Some really good results over there, the only disappointing thing being the non-selection of a couple of promising overseas players, for example James Wesolwski (held spot in Leicester City midfield), Neil Kilkenny (Leeds United midfield general), Ryan McGowan (a central defender, made debut for ...
