Liverpool were embroiled in a fresh racism controversy night, after the Oldham Athletic defender Tom Adeyemi alleged that he was racially abused twice by a supporter during an FA Cup tie at Anfield. The incident occurred 10 minutes from the end of Liverpool's 5-1 win over the League One side. The 20 ...

Re: Keane blasts Blatter, Platini
In the post match interview Henry said that it wasn't intentional. Although he was seen mouthing "I cheated" to Richard Dunne when they were sat on the ground after the match.
This was confirmed by Dunne and also Kilbane after the match .
I think it damage limitation by Henry.

Colosus
Keane was complaining about how the rules were changed by introducing seeding when it looked likely that some of the big teams might not qualify. Thats why he is having a go at FIFA/UEFA.
Seperate issue about the handball.

I think you will find that the poppy on the Celtic shirts and people in the crowd is a Scottish poppy, which differs from an English poppy. Scottish one has no leaves. http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/Remembrance/poppy.htm Read that and and you might understand what the poppy and ...

Re: Do junior teams need a "Sweeper"
Firstly why change it to attacking, you haven't got your point across when defending yet. The term sweeper is for behind the line and to plug the gaps so it can't be flat, see my post before its a combination defence. When you think of sweeper systems you think of individual players as the sweeper ...

Re: Do junior teams need a "Sweeper"
And what you have just described is a combination defence and not a sweeper system. You cant have a flat back four if you are playing the sweeper system, because the sweeper plays behind the lines hence not flat. You have generalised as the spare defender being the sweeper, not true he/she is the ...
