I don't think it was really surprising that APAC did so well in SASF Third Division in 1972.... The top four or five SAASL clubs used to regularly beat Third Division SASF clubs in the Federation Cup around that time. For instance, in 1970, Elizabeth Vale beat Flinders Uni 5-2; Hectorville beat ...

Whilst their SAASL team never got higher than 3rd, 4th or 5th divs in SAASl, their first team was playing in federation 2nd div, 1980-87. In 1981 they finished fourth, ahead of the likes of Enfield Victoria, Modbury and USC Lion... and only just behind Adelaide City and West Adelaide reserves!

So many stories behind our clubs... hard to unravel the threads sometimes!
