Re: 11 team prem division in 2009 - Try again!!! 7
I think that you have thought this out and structured it well......it would certainly be better then the system we have now......ie no reserves at all.....plus with the relegation it gives even more incentive to succeed......would love to hear other poeple's thoughts on this idea.......I ...

Re: 11 team prem division in 2009 - Try again!!! 7
I know Flinders who have now won Div 1 with a game still to play, have been seriously planning and getting ready to go to Prems next season. They had players, coaches and sponsorship all lined up. It can take a lot of momentum to get to that point and now they have to do it all over again. Damn ...

Leppski I assume you mean what if the W-League for 2009 starts before the end of the SA Premier League? That is a very good point - this is where a reserves squad is essential to cover for Prems players who have to leave the comp early because of the W-League (or similar). There it is people ...

Re: 11 team prem division in 2009 - Try again!!! 7
Biggest difference between us and para hills was that para hills had other teams that had just come up as well, so they were competitive straight with gawler and campbelltown, we also lost 6 players from our div 1 team from last year as well (no excuses though in that regard). We gave youth the ...

what? said: I honestly dont see anything wrong with dropping ressies division. You are all say this is really bad.. What happens if this dropping the reserves is the best thing that happens to womens soccer. Maybe then you will have a more even spread of players around the different clubs instead ...

Re: 11 team prem division in 2009 - Try again!!! 7
1 win and three draws are a great deal better then 0-0-16, scoring twice and conceeding an astonishing 132 times. (average result would be Other Team 8.2-0.1 Toros) ridiculous. Yeah but you see I'm looking at how Toros played when we played them.......they were beginning to string together passes ...

Well that's an interesting comment that you have raised Bennylava......Para Hills struggled their first season in the premier league.....Toros performance this year is a repeat of our path 3 seasons ago........yet now we are finally starting ...

I will also talk about the cumby v campbelltown game which is in the same position as Sturt marion v Fulham reserves game. Spoke to saws about no points game because it made no difference in league standing eg Fulham reserves could finish 4th if win or 6th if draw or lose. The Cumby Campbelltown ...

Red Tiger im not agreeing with what they have done, just trying to make sense of it all really. God knows why they would change things. People are pissed off with the way things are run as it is, this only shits them more No that's fine gubs the question was more rhetoric and directed at all ...

Re: 11 team prem division in 2009 - Try again!!! 7
u would think that their div 2 team will be dropped to div 3 and their ressies will be a part of the div 2 side But how unnecessary does this seem to you.....surely would be easier to just keep the reserve league and not upset everyone as they have done.......would be the most common sense thing to ...

Well the memo is out. Reserves is axed - apparently the feedback from clubs questioned the relevance of reserves???!!!! Unbelievable! Will see existing reserves teams split between div2 and div3 based on their final 2008 reserves div position - try selling that to a reserves team, "You improved a ...

Re: 11 team prem division in 2009 - Try again!!! 7
I think the reason they used for allowing the game not to be played was that it made no difference to the outcome of the competition - however, until the about turn to let PH stay in Prems it obviously did make a BIG difference! That to me is not a good enough reason to have a game not played ...

Parahills are getting screwed! 8 teams woulda been ok..wtf do we need a bye round for? I totally agree with you Lepps......we don't need a bye round.....that being said I have heard talks of a 10 team league.......just like NSW........that would be ideal......hopefully all our emails......calls ...

I feel sorry for Para Hills for the effort and improvement they have made over the past 1-2 years, definately feel they would of done well next season And that's most probably why this decision has been made.......we wouldn't want other clubs to actually have a chance of doing some damage next year ...

Re: So... the goal that wasn't
Gubs when I first started reading the report I thought you were being overly kind to Sturt with the report, then realised my mistake and worked out who had written it. As always, respect should be paid to both teams win lose or draw that is being a sportmen. You can talk about it away on forums but ...

Well I can help you out Julian...... Western Toros vs. Para Hills Knights Reserves 1-0 Prems 0-5 Considering Para Hills reserves were playing with only 10 players....this was a fair effort......just a lack of concentration in the defensive line let the goal slip in........unfortunate really as they ...

I agree. Its not always US. Its THEM this time. Ok easter has been a problem and when the greeks can get their calendars in synch with the Julian calendar then we will all be one happy family! No one must put soccer above God! Umm just to point out, why is it necessarily the Greek's fault? We ...
