Re: Revamp of comp - 2025
I have never been a fan of trials but I do understand why clubs need them. But I have heard a club calling a parent whose kid made it at another club and paid their deposit to come over to their club, even offered the parent to reimburse them the deposit.!! WOW, for juniors!!! That's nothing, I ...

Re: Revamp of comp - 2025
this year especially, i think trials are being used to capture as many kids as possible, im sure we can all imagine the promises made to these kids. I know of clubs who are attracting players from others by getting them to pay fees before trials start and guaranteeing spots. this means they jump ...

Re: What is happening at Metrostars
Did not do so well this week against Raiders though Bluechook. Where as all those boys that left Metros to go to Adelaide City, Croydon and Modbury Jets all had wins and are now above Metros in the league. The sad thing Is if the club had retained those players and with some of the players you ...

Re: What is happening at Metrostars
What is going on at Metrostars with their Juniors. This season their U17 JPL did league and cup double and their U15 JPL did league and cup double. But hearing stories of lots of these players all leaving the club. Must be serious if they can not keep this talent at the club. How are things going ...

Re: Junior fees.
Too expensive most of the coaches are volunteers something needs to be done otherwise we are going to loose so many kids. Junior fees issue is easily fixed. Join a Club. Attend the AGM, Read the financial report. Work out where expenses can be cut in order to minimise fees. Volunteer your time and ...

Re: WITHIN THE FFSA WHO HAS THE BEST CLUB WEB SITE
True at least they do have their websites and well done. Perhaps I have over criticised other clubs as in fact it is correct some don’t have any that is true. I only looked at around 12 clubs not alland the idea was comparison to Campbelltown Budapest where my family played, sorry had to get that i ...

Re: Junior Cup Finals 26/8
I cannot find the thread about the disqualifications of the two under 17 teams from the cup final. Excuse my bad if it is still going. Does anyone know the final washup particularly at Metro? Thread deleted. Looks like it. I hope that the Metro Stars committee issue a statement to their members, at ...

Re: Best Junior Coach
Not sure why people from other Clubs try and bring Metrostars into this discussion, For the record, without adding wood to the fire. Metrostars, has 3 Junior coaching Coordinators as Well as Ernie Luongo running the accadamy for the very young ones. These Guys are doing a great job, and the results ...

Re: Campbelltown - its cut throat at the top
This isn't promoting the announcement - Obviously it's their club and they can do what they want, but bits of this just seem strange? They are basically asking people to make up their minds on which club they want to play and pay up for next year within 3 weeks of this season finishing. Note that ...

Re: MetroStars Juniors, "The Future Begins Here"

Careful your shooting stars don't shoot themselves in the foot :P Why would they? :clown: Because if they believe the hype and feel the need to post this same information in no less than than three different threads, then surely there are going to be some disappointed wittle stars when the results ...
