Re: 2025 Season
Throwing money after a problem is like drip feeding those on welfare. You will not strengthen the club. All you will encourage is cheque book (or bank transfer) recruiting. That will only build a weaker competition. The problems remains with the clubs. Get the right people in the positions (or ...

Re: 2025 Season
Hi Tots 5-10 years from now has been the catchy of the defunct SAWSA followed by the FS and now the FFSA. They failed to capitalise on zero AFL women's and they and other interstate counterparts did little. Then again with soccer way down the pecking order for OZ sport they had their work cut out ...

Re: 2025 Season
If you want to do a pulse check; the FS have just announced that croydon and fulham (yes that one) have withdrawn from the state league for next season. Sad? Expected? long time coming? lack of support and focus on developing/maintaining the program? or all of the above? Survival of fittest or the ...

Re: 2025 Season
Just a thought from reading above…I maybe wrong… The 2 arguably strongest wnpl teams comets and west are investing in their seniors heavily (obviously to build the women’s game in their respective clubs), this investment would somewhat come from the limited junior programs they have (key word inves ...

Re: 2025 Season
I disagree, respectfully. I’ve seen enough from the past 5-10 years to suggest that it’s unlikely a player from west or comets ressies make the seniors. How many have gone from ressie level and actually solidified a spot? Look at comets and west for example. Their ressieshave been okay of late, but ...

Re: 2025 Season
Playing in Reserves for a top team is always beneficial. The pressure for the seniors with a strong reserves will generally deliver good results. Playing in the first team in a low ranked club is abysmal and would only deter a player from continuing. I applaude quite strongly any player that ...

Re: Adelaide Utd 2022-23 a season to forget
Just read Miley Grigg 'the youngest Adelaide United debutant' & congratulations to her but you have to ask 'Why Stenta'. This game was (0 - 1) still in the balance & you introduce a youngster(who appears is still learning the offside rule)at such a critical time yet an experienced goalscorer like ...

Re: Adelaide Utd 2022-23 a season to forget
United were very good against Canberra. Move the ball around well. Unfortunately a few keeper errors meant they had to settle for a draw but they were good value.

You would’ve thought Lastella was a standout and clear winner. If not him, Scalzi or Monsigneur won all the trophies between them. Goddard did a good job with birks. Team of the year had a couple interesting selections too.

Relegation battle is heating up with 3 games to go. Uni 13pts - have Metro, NTC, Flinders Flinders 12pts - have Birks, City, Uni Fulham 12pts - have Comets, Inter, Metro Fulham would need an upset I think to get off the bottom against a tough run home. The 9th place team match vs 2nd in state ...

Re: EPL 21/22
The penalty decision could be given but Gordon diving earlier in the game went against him. There wasn’t a clear and obvious error so VAR couldn’t intervene in my opinion. I’ve seen softer penalties given, but also seen harsher fouls missed.

NTC beat metro 8-1
Comets beat vista 5-4
Metro beat comets 3-0
West Adelaide bear vista 9-0
A bit of work for comets to do?
City look the standout at the moment

Re: Under 14 Cup CC v NU
As a coach of juniors I would of adjusted the team once the win was obvious. I would of reduced the number in my side to make the players work harder and learn to play with a numeric disadvantage. I would of explained my reasons to the players for this and the benefits it will bring going forward ...

Re: Junior League Structures
So the junior girls fixtures haven’t fully been released yet which is poor considering the games start this weekend. We did get the first two rounds sent out last weekend which would be good if the federation didn’t then change round 1. I only noticed we had a venue and time change as I was doing my ...

1-1. Could have gone top leading into the international break. Walcott unlucky in the first half when he nearly broke a post. A soft penalty awarded by the ref to Spurs. A very good crowd at the Arkaba watched this tense match on the big screens. We would've knocked you off top even if you did jag ...

Rodgers always struck me as a phoney and a bit of a knob tbh. As germans go Klopp comes across as pretty likeable, as is the way his teams play. Him coming over looks like being a positive for our league though I reckon he’ll go the same way as Wenger, one world class striker short of the two r ...

Gone are the days when Man united tried to win. Small club mentality. Fair result though. We could've nabbed the win if De Gea wasn't so brilliant. We just can't break defensive teams. u did see the first half didnt you? and btw how is this for a quote " JOSE Mourinho’s tactics will come in for c ...
