Re: Saturday Amateur Select v Collegiate League Select

maybe they can choose 2 teams, 1st half and 2nd half??? What a stupid fu c king idea. The entire concept is a stupid fu c king idea. My take is that the FFSA have asked for this game so that if the Collegiate team wins the FFSA can claim their competition is stronger and suggest the SAASL move to ...

Re: Help with personal player insurance?

I personally have income protection insurance. It will pay you 75% of your wage if you are unable to work due to inury or illness. There are many options on how to set it up and this will determine when it will pay you and what it will cover. I don't pay any additional loading for playing soccer on ...

One of you first team players got red carded for "a little bit of pushing" after a challenge. We had an official ref and he sent him off. SO as you said, it's a prime example of why this club ref thing doesn't work.

I agree with you Hawkesy. You should have been sent off for retaliation.

Bodo, You don't happen to win 3 championships and narrowly finish 2nd (twice) in a 5 year period without being switched on. The suit is an outward reflection of the organisation, professionalism and pride that the coach places on his role in a winning squad. Not sure about the tie selection though.

Yes i agree with you. That was a shocking tackle. Every person who saw that from our club acknowledged it was bad. I even spoke to him later and told him he was lucky to stay on as long as he did and he also agreed that it was a bad challenge. Probably not his best moment. I also agree with you that ...

Good point. I recall in the constitution of the Amateur league that "Div 1 teams cannot be dirty". And it probably is their fault that they are successful.

Re: Let's ban the "Zigger Zagger"

I think the Wanderers song is one of the best i've received. Different and not offensive. Was great after we won the league at home last year and belted a great "Elvis live in concert" version. through the woofers. Tazo came in for a beer, commented on our good choice in music and was a good sport ...

We can finally announce that Juan Rodriguez will be the senior coach at Stirling for 2008.

Most senior players who have previously played with Juan are pleased with the appointment.

Alan Evans will continue to coach the B grade and assist Juan.

I was about 5 metres away from the challenge and can guarantee it was outside. Downs did knock the ball better than us. Koko made some good saves, but so did the downs keeper.

I think thats the point. There is more depth in Sunday league. After the top few in Sat there is a difference in quality.
