Re: 2025 Season
What's better for a player: playing seniors for a bottom team, or playing reserves for a top team?
I'm expecting, "It depends"

Do pubs only have to pay $7 per month for P+? Or do they require a different deal? Surely it's bad business for them not to have it?

Re: future of saasl and csl
Would these competitions ever go to 12 teams per div? Or is the quality between top and bottom too much? Or 22 matches too many? Alot of club share their facilities with cricket clubs, so having the ability to increase number of games won't work! Damn, how long are the cricket seasons?! It's just ...

Re: 2024 season
The clubs that do go, how long will they survive in Federation? Wait and see the junior fees triple, it might just be a death wish for some clubs especially the ones that want to remain in amateurs as well. Where are they going to get the extra players, qualified coaches from? Pitch useage, wear ...

Re: future of saasl and csl
Maybe time to do away with separate Sunday and Sat comps & have one joint SAASL hierarchy as suggested on here. I think there will always be a place (market) for amatuer players. Just depends on how itll look. This. I see it as a positive for the state that more clubs are ready and willing to step ...

Saturday and Sunday in 2024. Why?
I understand the history of how it started, but is it still necessary to have split leagues on specific days? Could they not come together by now and increase the standard? Have three divisions then split north/south below? Merge Collegiate? I’m not OCD but man I’d love it all to be neat and more pre ...

Re: Croydon
6 of the 8 teams in D1 are WNPL sides. The women's competitions are structured very different to the men's amateur competitions. Fair point but there has to be a way to restructure because at the moment its just not working at that level. It's actually relatively easy. A friend in Victoria told me ...

Re: Croydon
They don't need a 3rd division - they already have 5 community divisions. They need to stop allowing teams who have been in the women's game for 2 mins with no juniors to come into elite tiers...which they've only done to even up the numbers. To be fair to Croydon, they came in with a solid team ...

Re: Croydon
We need a third tier in the women's. There's too much of a gap between the top and bottom half in div2. Three divisions of 8 would be better for a few years until levels and clubs settle. They'll also play an extra three matches per season. Just have to pluck four new clubs from somewhere

Re: Nothing to see here.
East Adelaide FC are so far the only SAASL club to submit an application that has been approved by the CSL Executive. The Collegiate Soccer League needs a name change, it does not service only Collegiate sides anymore (ie, Schools, Universities). Too many club sides. Maybe they could call it the ...
