Re: EPL 24/25
Just when Ange had a couple of good matches along come the Scousers . 3-6 at home must hurt. Aussie Ange has gotta watch his back. ps, a commentator raised an interesting question: has anyone kept stats on how many goals are scored from playing out short goal-kicks from the back, and how ...

Re: 2024 season
Your guess would be wrong, I'm expecting a reasonable crowd at a decent complex. Geez , they come down South once in a blue moon and the moaning starts.

Re: future of saasl and csl
I don't believe refs are being pressure to not do SAASL games, but rather the behaviour of certain clubs in SAASL is putting the refs off making themselves available for SAASL games. I agree the behaviour of some clubs is not great and I am not using it as an excuse but after the new refs ...

Re: future of saasl and csl
I assume it's Refs. Every game (Div 1 to 7) presently gets a match official and Div 1A often get linesmen too. CSL has been pro active in developing and upskilling their own pool of Refs. CSL refs usually do the lower Div games. As the refs can decide which league they want to officiate in, that ...

Re: future of saasl and csl
Maybe time to do away with separate Sunday and Sat comps & have one joint SAASL hierarchy as suggested on here. I think there will always be a place (market) for amatuer players. Just depends on how itll look. This. I see it as a positive for the state that more clubs are ready and willing to step ...

Re: Sunday Div 4a Cove FC v Maiwand FC Ugly Finish
Apparently the Refs version of events changed significantly on his report due to fears of reprisal. Don’t understand the decision makers at the SAASL. If a club along with its players purposely physically assaults an opposition team the club and players involved should be banned immediately. No e ...

Re: Sunday Div 4a Cove FC v Maiwand FC Ugly Finish
With all the money in the league coffers, they should purchase 1 × VEO for each club & enforce all games must be recorded & submitted to the league for them to review any such incidents. Amateur league footy record every game to eradicate such thugs from their competition Nice idea but the cameras ...

Re: Sunday Div 4a Cove FC v Maiwand FC Ugly Finish
At the pre-season delegates meeting SAASL declared a zero tolerance to this type of behaviour. The list of fines for even minor breaches was mind boggling so I can only expect expulsion as the correct action if this behaviour is proven. I won't hold my breath though after the way they have handled ...

Re: Nothing to see here.
How so? It's highly unlikely they had any tangible evidence to go on. I understand the league were aware of previous complaints regarding the ref though. Final day of the seaosn when a league title is at stake, why wouldn't you appoint an official referee... There are no refs. Premier B's and C's ...

Re: 2024 Coaches
If clubs allow underperforming or incompetent coaches to continue, they suffer relegation consequences. If the club management is not strong-willed enough to remove that underperforming coach, they should remove themselves and let others step in to run clubs professionally. If players (e.g. JJ) are ...

Congrats to RBE C's. Hope they celebrate what this "title" has done for their club. Pretty hollow victory I would have thought. Says a lot when now they don't even have a Cs this season...  :clown: Says a lot about the club when you have a 6 hr. appeal hearing with lawyers involved ...

I suspect SAASL has bottled it again. Probably don't want the expected backlash. SAASL 101. Just need to be upfront and explain how they reached their decision, whatever it is.

Re: Nothing to see here.

Re: Nothing to see here.
I can see SAASL being in a difficult position. It is not easy to prove bias and cheating, even though they were aware of past indiscretions by this club ref. With ARBE's reputation now seriously damaged maybe the club could step up and not claim the title. It doesn't excuse the obvious poor ...

Re: Nothing to see here.
The Sat. Premier C grade is the title in dispute. The leading scorer from that division was awarded to a Lion player even though the RBE player scored more on Dribl. Time for an announcement from SAASL to clarify matters.

Re: Nothing to see here.
The score on Dribl says 15-0 and would have had to be confirmed by Titans to be official and correct. Maybe SAASL need to take a closer look to ensure the integrity of the league is maintained. Nothing to see here.
Interesting to see ARBE C grade winning the league yesterday. Played a catch-up game Thurs. against Titans and win 3-2. Played them again at home on Sat. needing to win by 15 goals to snatch top spot and win 15-0. Club ref only gave them 6 penalties so it wouldn't look too suspicious. Bosa Cs must ...

Re: SAASL
Seems to me that the proposed constitution actually makes it harder for the league to be dissolved. Am I missing something? No. You are right, the proposed constitution makes it harder to dissolve the SAASL. There is no secret mandate from FSA to dissolve the league, which currently would need 3/5 ...
