Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19

I know I said I would not comment further but:- Junior supporter-Please accept my apologies. I meant it to read “ouch” to the comments BTK wrote not you. I agree with most of your comments especially that BTK was vague with some of her comments. I have decided due to the ongoing negative comments abo ...

BTK
Ouch!
Junior supporter- I could not have worded it better. Would love to hear a response.
I’m sorry BTK I expressed my opinion but I like to look for the positives. I’m finished with making a contribution on this matter. I wish the team all the best no matter who is selected.

Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19

BTK I do enjoy reading a lot of your posts but you seem very negative on this topic and highly critical of the signed players. Who do you consider to be the best local players? Emily Condon represented the Matildas this year yet she is not considered by you to be one of our best players? What the?

Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19

Just read that Kahlia Hogg signed. She seems to bring a lot of experience to the team which is a positive.

Billy the Kid- Does this signing make you less worried about the season?

Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19

SAD GAL I agree with you re the lucky comment I made. It was an “off the cuff” statement so apologies for the way it was perceived. The team did finish bottom last year so I can understand to a degree why you say you were looking forward to many new names from the WNPL. I do not agree with your sug ...

Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19

BTK I get what your saying re who has missed out. To be fair, Ivan did not put a number on how many changes there should be. From the players who appear to be “trialling”, it could be assumed at least 3 players will not be returning i.e. Jones, Tucker and Peat. Maybe a couple of the re-signings so fa ...

Re: AUFC - W League 2018-19

I second that Brenton T. Congratulations to the girls on getting signed as I expected they would.
I would be interested in your opinion Brenton T and others on some “new” players from the WNPL that you think should also be signed this season.

I am predicting another close battle between the two teams. Very hard to pick a winner. I think City will win but if it goes to penalties, I am expecting that Metro will prevail.

Re: Cumberland's Fall and who gains - Fulham and Comets

juniorsupporter has hit the nail on the head! If Cumberland had taken a similar approach to Fulham I am sure they would not have been in the position that they are faced with now. I can only assume that finances prevented them going down the same path as Fulham. Having said this, I think a better ...

Brenton T I agree with you in regards to Michelle Heyman. Excellent signing for the club. If they can sign another 2-3 players (including overseas players) of her calibre, finals maybe possible. I am not sure I agree with you in regards to “may put faith in older players…so there will be many in the ...

Re: 2018 WNPL Final Four Countdown

NTC v West Past encounters between the 2 teams this year would indicate that West should start hot favourites for this match. Recent form though for West has not been brilliant and with at least 2 quality players from their team unavailable tonight, this makes for a close match. I said a couple of ...

Re: The WNPL Cup and FInal 4 Finals Series

Re: The WNPL Cup and FInal 4 Finals Series

Agree with SAD GAL and Billy The Kid. On a positive note though, FFSA should be congratulated on their recent 3 year partnership with Channel 9 that hopefully will increase the exposure to both the women and men’s competitions. Maybe the FFSA could have a similar partnership with a radio station to p ...

Agree with you SAD GAL. NTC have exceeded expectations of most. They have not locked in 4th position yet but irrespective of what happens in the last 2 rounds they have had a great season. If they do make the final 4, they may even cause a surprise in the finals but Uni may still over take them for ...

Re: Player movements before June cut off

Very interesting developments at Cumberland. If the captain has resigned though with just 6 matches remaining with her team so close to being ...

Metro 7 Fulham 0
West 5 Cumberland 0
City 5 Uni 1
NTC 2 Salisbury Inter 1

I agree with your tips BTK except Campbelltown to beat Fulham. Campbelltown have won only 3 times this season and currently sit 5th. They are a very young team and whilst they have a lot of potential will find it very hard to compete with Fulham in my opinion. There is a big difference between the ...

NTC (2) v Fulham (1)
Cumberland (0) v Metro (4)
Salisbury (1) Uni (3)

Re: Player movements before June cut off

I have not heard those rumours but in my opinion the current cut off date for transfers is far too late. Personally I think a more appropriate time (to be fairer for clubs but still give players some flexibility to move) would be if the FFSA changed it to say by the end of round 5. This would avoid ...
