Junior cup final tonight
Junior cup finals tonight. I’ve just arrived at Valo Park to watch a mates lad play in the U12 cup final. To my surprise they are charging at the gate to get in!! To watch an U12 match. Just let me say that again, charging to watch an U12 match!! Money hungry FFSA is all I can think of. I hope the m ...

Re: Digital Rape
Anyone from any team and any background should be banned from playing for 10 years - life if found guilty of that sort of offence. As far as the reffo comment I agree it's a bit rough..........although it is a constant issue with some migrant kids seeming to play in grades they look 3-4 years too ...

Re: WESTERN STRIKERS-INVITATION TO U11-U13 ELITE SQUAD TRAIN
Probably find most kids and parents are already committed several night a week by now. I know between my 2 boys it's 4 nights training a week down the club for me already, only Thursday nights off. Then games Saturday and Sunday school/club. I like the fact WSSC are having a crack though, they have ...

Re: Round 3 big results
Teams getting smashed week in and out should be moved by FFSA as a matter of course. Mid season review by FFSA would be worth while to stop teams getting continually pumped and players giving it away.

Re: Age group in 2 year gaps JPL/JSL
The more teams the better, more opportunities for all kids. Trying to say there are only 6 good kids in a team is just rubbish. The differences between many kids is minor and only some parents attitudes that think there are only 6 good kids in a team perpetuates this thinking. Preferential ...

Age group in 2 year gaps JPL/JSL
I've seen a few posts about 2 year age group gaps. I agree with this especially for JPL/JSL ages. Many clubs have one team in an age group which then automatically becomes a JPL team. That team may have 6 very good players, a couple of good ones and the rest ok making up the numbers so to speak. If ...

Re: Round 3 big results
I see Pie and Bovril, thank you for that info explaining why some teams stayed up. That explains it, we aren't all aware of the inner workings so it's good to have it explained. Maybe in special circumstances more than 2 teams should drop down/go up. Last year a few teams in div C just missed out on ...

Re: Round 3 big results
Great topic! A number of JPL teams that were pretty well pumped every week last year stayed up in either A or B competitions. Just as an example West Adelaide U13 or U14 from memory finished bottom with something like -90 goal difference (I could be slightly out, can't get it up on my phone to check ...
