Re: 2024 season
Saturday Div 1 get the bragging rights over Sunday Div 1 this year - not that anyone cares too much Modbury Jets probably starting to think they're a Sunday team anyway with the Cup run they've had Para Hills East on Sunday Ghan United on Sunday Tea Tree Gully on Sunday South Coast (Saturday club ...

Re: 2024 season
The clubs that do go, how long will they survive in Federation? Wait and see the junior fees triple, it might just be a death wish for some clubs especially the ones that want to remain in amateurs as well. Where are they going to get the extra players, qualified coaches from? Pitch useage, wear and ...

Re: 2024 season
Modbury took it right up to TTG on the weekend and unlucky not to get a point.
Gully will want to be a hell of a lot better this weekend or its going to be advantage Downs.

Re: 2024 season
Big Crowd at Para Hills East v Tea Tree Gully too.
A game with little chances, TTG missing a penalty with the last kick of the game to miss out on a draw with Easties getting the 1-0 win.
Young match officials who all did a very good job.
Was great to see.

Re: 2024 season
The Downs v Modbury game was a cracker too.
Finished 1-1, a really late goal to Downs who were down to 10 men to salvage a draw.
Both keepers saved a penalty each.

Hopefully more females get involved.

Could they be merging or taken over by Pitbulls? Pitbulls want to move to their ground, so that they don't have to play on a school oval with no real facilities / bar etc. Application is in to council awaiting approval I believe. Looks like they are already training there. Be a good move for ...

Where do I find the Reserves and Under 18's Kick off times? I would say they would be earlier to allow Extra Time? Here you go, and only 4 games being held, the rest have byes Ressies https://websites.sportstg.com/comp_info.cgi?c=1-10180-0-583429-0&a=ROUND 18s https://websites.sportstg.com/comp ...

You are right, 3 security guards could not stop a mass brawl, but surely you would agree just their visual presence is normally enough to stop anything to start with.

They should receive a massive fine and that money should be used for security guards under the control of the SAASL for all their games.

im sorry, i dont really understand the comments you're making. You lost me when you said E&D were capable of producing talent these days. That hasn't happened in about 15-20 years. Great idea under 8's free.
From there the kids would get into the club based system and more likely continue thru the grades.
As a parent that has been thu both sports I do find kids in Aussie Rules don't club hop as much.
