Re: 2016 JPL Division 1
Good that AV are having some senior success but what will you be offering these kids Jett. Currently U12 - 17s have 3 Teams in low JPL divisions and all near bottom, no JSL teams. Can't see the attraction at this point. You would be better off under the current set up I would think. Top 10 isnt it ...

Re: ENFIELD CITY JUNIOR FOOTBALL TRIALS
According to Pert he paid players to much and negotiated dodgy contracts. Perhaps that is why his position became untenable.

Re: ENFIELD CITY JUNIOR FOOTBALL TRIALS
Norm resigned in April of his own accord. Norm was not voted out by anybody. In fact none of the old committee were voted out, they refused to stand at the AGM. What you have heard to the contrary is bollocks. Who is feeding you this crap? Innuendo from a northern suburbs club cause of problems? I ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Always interesting to see how people interpret or maybe like to interpret things. I am not saying junior results (and league standings) are the only measure of quality/merits of a junior program, it is just one of several measures. My example of White City juniors is indicative only (for simplicity ...

Re: I find it strange
These are all my estimates at my junior club ...... not the clubs actuals, but I do know about the water bill, and the apparel cost is not hard to work out Say 150 kids x $650 = $97,500 50 kids x $300 = $15,000 Total = $112,500 in fees (and I wont take off the coach and manager discounts for their ...

Re: I find it strange
$300 to play - that's way too cheap - no wonder Queensland don't produce any top players - you can't possibly develop players for any less than $800 - charging that much at least is what makes SA such a powerhouse in junior development I think it just spells it out really. They can obviously cover ...

Re: I am not going to play football anymore
It's not a huge difference and people are mistaken; $550 - what do you get for that? $785 This includes: Home & Away Playing kits, ball, spray jacket & bag, team photo, trophy, presentation night. Also, no rosters for parents to run the canteen, mark the lines on the pitches. just this alone is ...

Re: I am not going to play football anymore
And yes, attempted poaching of juniors and coaches has already started. One of our good junior A div teams coach has already been approached by a PL club saying bring them over, the writing is on the wall. Disgraceful Because that's never, ever happened in previous years. Disappointing to hear ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Seniors do not drive a club....Juniors do and thus should not be linked as the FFSA is proposing. A club should be judged on how they are developing their juniors in the way of coaching they offer, Starclub status etc...Not how much they spent to get their seniors in the position they are.... I ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
So if there is A,B,C with relegation/promotion, travelling time is ok then ? I think it may be a good idea to have a look at the current divisions and see how little these travel extremes currently occur. Check it out. The new proposal makes every single SL junior team travel massively and the PL ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Let's look at the big picture of developing juniors than your own back yard Like the concept The State League clubs are at a huge disadvantage with travel. We are talking about those clubs travelling from Noarlunga to Playford to Gawler to Cove to South Adelaide to Port Pirie etc. Juniors and ...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
But if the A, B or C div with relegation/promotion stays, there is no travelling yeh ? yes, ofcourse. But once or twice a season. not 8-10 games a season. I play SL seniors, and im sick of traveling. Pirie, Hills, South Adelaide, Nourlunga, Cove, Seaford, Toros, Sturt.. all a solid 3-4 hour round ...
