Re: EPL Moving to C9/ Stan Sport?
Having recently (with reluctance) watched a few EPL games whilst on a cruise, as there was limited sport to choose from, must say the games were boring by and large, and virtually 4-quarter squares of the pitch where five-a-side style football is all the rage. Can't say I miss it since giving ...

Re: EPL 24/25
Ha ha. Anyway Cyril, is that “grumpy Aussie Ange” in trouble with Levy? Even though he’s had to play teenagers after all that big list of senior injuries? The injuries are merely masking his incompetence and hopeless coaching. Even when we had a full first team out and were winning games, we were gi ...

TBF you were a country mile better than us all over the pitch and if you had a half decent striker, you'd have scored about 5. I only said the other day, how long can Arteta hide behind us not having a proper striker.. against sh!t defences we get away with it Havertz has scored 7 goals and gone ...

Re: Socceroos World Cup Campaign
A massive loss for Australias WC campaign. Harry Souttar will be sidelined for up to a year with an Achilles tendon injury, ruling him out of the remainder of the Socceroos’ 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Agree. Harry’s height will be missed, as will his tackles. And his distribution had improved mar ...

Just when Ange had a couple of good matches along come the Scousers . 3-6 at home must hurt. Aussie Ange has gotta watch his back. ps, a commentator raised an interesting question: has anyone kept stats on how many goals are scored from playing out short goal-kicks from the back, and how ...

Re: UEFA Europa League 24/25
I watched the last 20 minutes of the Rangers Spurs match. OMG the Spurs defense is woeful. They always look like they will be scored against. The attack looks ok. Ange has big problems, and I suspect he will be gone soon. Cyril silent about his Totteringham drawing against the Scottish Jocks ...

Handball should be handball, intentional or not. More so offside. If you are in an offside position when the ball is played forward, then you're offside. None of this "not involved" BS Not involved in the attack is exactly that, not involved. It’s here to stay. They’re trying to mitigate the effect ...

Disgraceful Murdoch rags. The CrowTiser has them 9 pages back in the sports pages, with the Australia B v. Pakistan crickette T20 game back only 4 pages.
The OZ broadsheet has 3 lousy paras previewing the game, while Marco Monteverde (soccer writer) concentrates on the T20 game.

Caught the amazing end to the Fulham versus Brentford game at Craven Cottage when Fulham scored 2 amazing goals in stoppage time to win 2-1. (As an aside, it looked like nothing has changed grandstands-wise in that stadium since Australia famously beat England 3-1 with goals by Popovich, Kewell ...

Seems more topical to go under current headings “EPL 24/25”, then “EPL 25/26” etc in the World Football forum.

Crystal Palace 1, Totteringham 0.
Arsenal 2, Liverpool 2. Arsenal robbed of a third goal at the end by the referee when he deemed jumping to head the ball goalwards a foul.

Dumb referee and VAR missed the fact that the sprinting right-back (White?) would have made it so that it wouldn’t have been the ‘last defender stopping a goal-scoring chance’ scenario.
Saliba has a good chance of getting off on appeal.

How bad is this?
