Re: WNPL Grand Final 2020
Lucrative three year player contracts? That’s funny. Ended up losing? They lost one game at full strength. By one goal. Won the minor and the cup. Completed the season with a goal per game average of 5.3. Whether Max was there or not had nothing to do with any of that. You need to talk to you own p ...

Re: WNPL Grand Final 2020
To suggest that Metro had more of a team commitment is rubbish. Metro was better on the night. Well done. But I stand by my comments above. And to suggest that there was or is internal division in the City squad is also incorrect. They are a very tight-knit group. Sometimes great teams lose. Doesn ...

Re: Coaching Movements
I think its appalling to have parties from two finals contenders in secret negotiation with everything to play for, and then let it leak before the season ends. Some people got paid alot of money (for Women's football in SA) to get the club who was paying the wages, as close to the very top as ...

Re: Adelaide City Appoints Max Primaro as Head Coach
A lot of diplomacy shown on this subject. I'll add my 2 cents. Like it or not, the appointment isn't sitting well with people at city. Not matter how you dress it up, people at city aren't convinced that this was a good move. My views are that city may not be able to offer the $$$$$$$$$$$$ it once ...

Re: WNPL Round 1
Friend of mine, who has extensive experience with the Women's game here in SA over many years, thought the goal was arguably the best strike they had seen at this level, given the execution and technical difficulty required.

Re: Bosa
Unless Jets fielded ineligble players, you struggle what to think why the game is 'in dispute'???
With the team BOSA 'acquired', they should have won Saturday Div 1 by 10 points, so we get the disappointment, but they should take Saturday's loss on the chin and with a bit of grace.

How may were there that didnt agree??? Remember you have a points system so i guess you cant call them all. You're asking me how many players you or your club tried to sign but didn't?? You seem to know a fair bit on the inner workings of your club. I'm just playing devil's advocate. You ...

Re: Adelaide United WFC Coaches
Maybe it's best to ask those players who didn't actually agree to join, rather than those who did.
Those who did agree, have alot more to lose, especially if someone gets the lady reds coaching gig.
But as they say, 'all's fair in love and in war' I guess.

I'm somewhat surprised how a fully fledged international striker for Chile cannot get a look in with the lady reds, a team that has never made the finals??????????[/quote Rojas was part of the "Train-On" squad and was only out of the main W-League squad because of the quality of the four allowable ...

Re: Adelaide United Women's Football Club to Enter the WNPL
For Adelaide United to enter a team at this point and take 16 of the best players out of competing clubs (and without any compensation) is a short sighted idea. Adelaide United is a standalone club, albeit that their senior men's side compete in the A League. If they want to enter into the WNPL ...

Re: AUWFC vs Perth Glory
The blame for the current bottom of the table debacle rests soley with Adelaide United and mostly with Jones, the former coach. It was announced in May that the Lady reds were going back to Adelaide United. From May to September, Jones made the grand effort of going to watch two games of football ...

Re: The fall of Adelaide City
Stand to be corrected, but bar signing his own daughter and the internationals, the vast majority of the local players signed were not signed by Jones, but in a two week trial period by the new coach, months after the season had finished. Jones I understand, came out one night during the finals to ...

Re: The fall of Adelaide City
City players are abandoning the club from u15's up. Problem is way deeper than just the head coach losing his dressing room. Normally you would sack the coach to stop the bleeding but players are walking irrespective. As for final, city's form over previous 5-6 games (winless bar a penalty shootout ...

Re: The fall of Adelaide City
Aside from the walk out of key WNPL players, also hearing quite a few players and coaches from Reserves to u15's are on the move. City may well struggle to meet the WNPL criteria for 2017. Who would have thought? All linked to club culture and club politics no doubt. Changes should have been made 12 ...

You claim to be 'neutral', yet invariably defend vigourously almost all things City and I struggle to recall a single time you actually were critical of City. So Why Sturt Gone? why do you have such an issue with Sturt? Para Hills & Adelaide Uni also joined the league with one less team, so why slander Sturt?? Your logic makes perfect sense, but logic often does not prevail in local women's football. Everyone knew from as early as October 2015 that Sturt were in dire trouble in meeting the criteria. You would think that the powers that be, would have been prompted many times to this effect, but choose the ...

Just a 3 point penalty for misleading promises that you made the WNPL criteria? Talk about a slap on the wrist.
