Re: Time for Richie and cohorts to go?
For me I'd need to see what Skilleroos have achieved. I hear a lot about it but wouldn't have a clue what they've done. Ultimately, time will tell as to whether the program has worked. I'm expecting elite players with above average core shills should go on and play not just in SA but interstate and ...

Re: Kids watch Van Persie
Is Van Persie the best technical striker in world football for kids to watch?? His balance. His skill. His awareness. His technical ability to fool defenders & remain calm under pressure. Left foot, right foot or the head all the same ability. crosses the ball from left or right wing & always finds ...

Re: Is winning everything
With regard to winning, another way to look at this is: What kind of team do you want your child to play in? a. One that always wins b. One that always looses c. One that wins some, draws some, and loses some. I think the best is option c. but probably the most important part is that the child has ...

Not sure, could be wrong. Wasn't it South Melbourne that got banned from Kanga Cup because of violent behaviour of parents in 2011?

Re: Is winning everything
I know this is a Junior Forum but consider this. If Adelaide United were to lose every game would crowds increase, stay the same or reduce? Winning is important.
If they were to win every game how would crowds react. I would get a little bored.

This Mundine bloke would have to have the biggest chip on his shoulder. He would be one of the biggest racists I've ever seen. Can't wait to bring up the whitey card any time he can.

Negative play. Hardly no shots at goal in first half. Ridiculous yellow cards and Neill should've got red. Kruse played well but gee he behaves like a whiny little kid.
Pretty sad when we rely on pensioners to score goals.

Can't be sure. As many have said on this forum,'Winning isn't everything'. Perhaps policy at AC is to develop players and not worry about winning.Dash Riprock wrote:Did I hear that ACFC's Under 14 JSL team won't exist this year after winning their league for the last 2 seasons??? Robs team did well this 2012 season. A couple of top players were picked for the Skilleroos, loosing them put a big dent in the team. Having said this there were some surprises picked in the JPL, there's is no denying that. Next season will be an interesting one for City and whoever Rob goes too ...

Fair comment Faith No More. My boy plays at a good club in good team. I'm being honest here, I would rather see him move from his team to go to a developing one that has a good coach. Trouble is, he won't budge. Other team officials have approached us to move but the boy is stubborn.

Is it better for the league and these kids to thump a JSL team week after week or Move down the road and easily slip into a JPL side that had no wins, therefore making that side competitive and also help develop any team they play and themselves. If these players are so talented, then why are they in JSL to start with ? You tell me ZJ One side is in an age group and two clubs within ten minutes of them have no age in the JPL.
